I don't want to knock the place because they provided a quick and overall good meal for my family. The pasta special was tasty and the cakes were really good! The chicken salad croissant would not be an item I would recommend to people since there was barely a quarter cup of chicken salad on the croissant and a bunch of lettuce.

Our experience here could not have been better. The food was great and the staff was absolutely amazing. We have 2 kids with food allergies and Pouran, the cafe manager, was so cautious to ensure our meals were safe for the kids. We would go back here even if we weren’t on a trip to the museum.

Fun menu and delicious food. Don't let the fact that they are in the Children's Museum stop you from enjoying this terrific Cafe.

This is my favorite place to eat in Brookings! We were so spoiled tonight for Coteau’s Table Dinner Series! Tonight was Irish night and we enjoyed Shepherd’s Pie, homemade bread and a beet salad! The gluten free baked goods are SO GOOD!!

Took them 30+ minutes to make salad, toast, and fruit. I know they advertise, “Fresh†food but I didn't realize that it meant waiting for them to grow it.

This cafe adjacent to the Children's Museum of SD is open for the public as well as museum visitors. The fare ranges from unique and tasty offerings adults will love to " buttered noodles" adored by even the fussiest young eaters!
The food excellent and the space is really cool. You don't need to pay for the museum to eat here either, which makes it a great lunch spot.

We didn't expect such great food at the Children's Museum! It's a bit overpriced, but delicious.

We were on a Midwestern road trip and made the Children's Museum part of our journey. We decided to eat at the restaurant because it was easy. I was pleasantly surprised that they offered fresh veggies, directly from their garden. Having spent time in several small towns recemtly, we had had our fill of burgers, fried chicken, and potatoes. We were really craving veggies. I had the veggie sandwich and side of veggies. My daughter enjoyed the spaghetti with marinara sauce. We decided to go there for lunch the next day too because we're tired of chains and the freshness of the food was amazing. I had the chicken stir fry, which was tasty and healthy. We also enjoyed deliciously creamy ice cream from the SDSU farms. As for the ambiance, yes, it is attached to a children's museum, but it is clean and colorful. There is also outdoor seating. So lovely and way better than any other children's museum restaurant I've ever encountered. It supports the museum too!
Very clean and food is fresh . Icecream is good
