Enjoyed many lunches and dinners over the years at The Pheasant! Tonight our steak was cooked correctly to order, with perfect baked potatoes, and the atmosphere was perfect for friendly conversation. The price is approximate for the quality of the food. The perfect restaurant for date night or a special evening!

My son and I both got burgers, pbj burger and jalapeño jack burger. Any frozen burger patty from any brand would probably be better. Served with a very small serving of fries for 22 bucks. Any, and I mean any fast food burger would serve better. It's sad.

Was really hoping for this to be great, #1 they don't have Pheasant, local said never have. Anyway, service was slow, food came to me cold, and nothing was really good. Don't believe the reviews pass this place up...

Food was good. Service was very nice. The bartender made amazing Manhattans! We would have probably ordered 2-3 each but they only had enough supplies to make us each 1. Very odd considering they had a full bar to not have a back up bottle of booze. We all really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back.

Very good food. We had the chili duck wings for appetizers, which was so good. Our main entrée was so good. The service was excellent very friendly very kind. I would definitely recommend this place.

What a lovely place! We had chislic first at the bar as an app with some house cocktails, and they were delightful - only made better by our bartender.

Dinner , we talked through all our options and given fabulous wine recommendations. Our entrées were so incredibly lovely and we followed dinner with olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting in back.

Overall, we had a decadent evening and will be back soon. Need to have dessert next time.

We stopped in for a family lunch this past week. The food was pretty standard, nothing special. Our server was friendly and helpful. The handicap entrance was lacking ease of use for anyone with even minor physical challenges.

To be noted though, this restaurant has a long history in the community and was recently recognized with the James Beard award.

Absolutely incredible food and service. Took my parents here while in town for a family get together and so happy I came across it while searching for something new to try. All three of us enjoyed everything on our plate, though my step-dad wasn't too impressed with the fish and chips, though I can't fault Pheasant for that given he is an Irish immigrant. The service was excellent and I hope to eat here again the next time I'm in Brookings.
