Mar 4 2026 12:45 went in to have lunch one customer in bar area talking to waitress we sat down 3 minutes later left because no service and there was a table with dirty plates and glasses that should have been cleaned up before we got there now we understand why no customers feel sorry for the owners Went few doors down to chubbys 40 people while deciding in car 7 people walked in I hope the owner takes note how the waitress is killing his business waitress even with 50;people was at our table instantly
To the owners response That was the burger that I was going there for it did sound good and because of that burger is why we chose you over 20 other choices We drove 65 miles one way And would honestly like to give it a try to replace this review with a good one

I ordered the west coast burger and it was a pale imitation of a Culver’s burger and I can’t believe it won the burger clash in 2022. The garlic fries were shredded parm with minced garlic on top. lol. Was expecting serious gourmet work from this place. The service was great so that makes up for it a little bit.

This place is so cozy. Food is excellent, service was terrific. The barmaid/waitress was so warm and friendly. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in Brookings.

Kennedi was a great server, checked in multiple times and always had a smile!
Weeknight beer, burger, and fries exceeded expectations. Many beer options, including local brew and NA. Prices as expected. Clean men's room. I like the six person tables, that's a nice feature. The mini cupcakes are unforgettable. Definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again soon.

What a fantastic place! It has a cozy vibe. We shared a booth near the bar that had a sense of privacy to it. It was busy on a Saturday at 5pm, and was fully packed as we left. A motorcycle gathering had closed the street outside, so we felt very lucky to get a seat when we did.
The tap list here is impressive. I was thrilled that they had so many ciders to choose from, including several from one of my favorite cideries, 2 Towns. My husband was happy to have one of his favorite imports, Kilkenny, which is hard to find in the US, and followed it up with a local beer from Fernson, Ears Up.
We started off with a South Dakota specialty, Chislic. I asked our server if it was more authentic grilled or fried, and she said grilled. They were really good!
My husband had the Bourbon Bacon Burger with garlic fries. He really enjoyed it. I snagged a fry and it was tasty, with bold garlic. I had the pork tacos. These were not small street tacos, but very filling full-size tacos. A bit messy, but our server left us plenty of napkins.
When she came by to ask if we needed anything more, we asked for the check. She said it’d be right out, and asked if we’d like free mini cupcakes as a thank you. She commented they’d been short staffed. I must say, everyone in there was working hard (the boss came by to check with us several times) and we have no complaints, only compliments.
We then shared two mini cupcakes, one vanilla and one red velvet. It was a sweet ending to a really great meal.
