I got Shannon's Favorite and it was delicious and was ready quickly. I can't comment on the atmosphere as I ordered near closing. Make sure to have either cash or checks as those are the only form of payment accepted (which is stated on the entrance).

There are 3 pizzas in the area that I crave.Tomacelli's in Sioux Falls.Dar's in Pipestone and Pizza King, Brookings.I live in Sioux Falls.I drive to Brookings just to pick up a par baked pizza and bring it home to serve the family.When I lived in Brookings in the Mid 80's to early 90's you chose one side of the street or the other for your pizza choices. That choice told me really all I needed to know about you.Me and mine; we were East side of the Street Pizza people and West side of the street drinkers (Jim's Tap).Stop in. Grab a pie. Take a couple home.You'll be happy you did.

Pizza King is a staple when we travel to Brookings. It’s been around forever and the pizza luckily hasn’t changed. When all of our family is together we get 2 large cheese, 1 pepperoni and 1 sausage and mushroom. It’s a thin crust pizza cut into squares. Yes, it’s greasy but that’s what makes it so good. We carry it out and it’s not very expensive. They still take checks! No cards though. It’s bare bones inside, still seems to be original from what I remember as a kid.

My wife and I had a great experience for lunch. We had never been before and walked in at 12:30 for lunch. We didn’t realize they were closed. There was a special event going on and we were kind of embarrassed actually because the closed sign was on the door. The owner explained the situation and we apologized and said we would leave. He led us to a booth and said, “ I’m making pizza anyway!” Long story short he brought us some samples and made us feel welcome. 10/10 on the pizza and the service! 12/10 would recommend!
