A great gem hidden in Brookings. A tiny little place but GREAT and I mean great food. I wish I had tried it sooner. The brisket was perfection. They were already out of ribs so if that's your thing you better get in early.

I have had hit alot of Barbecue place's. In my travels. But Rub'N Tug has to be one of the best joints I have ever got carry outs. Ribs. Burnt Ends bake beans and the mac and cheese out of this world..

We were at the brewery next door and decided to grab something to eat with our beers. Great match! Burnt ends, pulled pork and brisket. Coleslaw, baked beans and smoked mac and cheese. Corn bread and sausage. We thought the portions were very generous for what we ordered. Don't forget the BBQ sauce.

Was really looking forward to eating here with my kiddos, based on the reviews. When I arrived, there was a bit of a wait, which was fine. I ordered for pickup through DoorDash. The lady working said they were no longer on DoorDash and walked away. She was incredibly rude, wouldn’t make eye contact, didn’t apologize, and had zero interest in helping me or asking if I wanted to cancel/create a new order. I told her I’d just try and cancel it. She said, “Yep. Cancel.” I told her, “I won’t buy from anyone that gives me an attitude like this, period.” She said, “Good. Don’t come back then.” This is the worst customer service I’ve experienced at a restaurant in South Dakota. Very disappointing.

Just love this place! Their food is terrific and the brother sister team are so kind. It’s starting to be an every Friday night go to. Tonight we got coleslaw for the first time. It was so delicious! We love the ribs and smoked mac and cheese so much.
