Drove out of the way on our road trip to eat here. Says they’re open everyday 6:30-3pm. They’re closed on Tuesdays. Nowhere online does it say this until you try to do their online ordering. Please fix for future travelers.

These guys are a joke, only here for the tourist $. They’re not local friendly at all, just like most of the Monopoly here, the restaurants leave all winter.

Great breakfast with super fast service. We went back a second time after a disappointing breakfast at another restaurant. Highly recommend.

Our family of seven (4 generations) from Texas had breakfast at Baker’s Bakery while staying at Custer visiting the Black Hills area. I had been to Baker’s Bakery 5 years ago and did not realize how big their restaurant was. I had already told some family members we would have to split up because of the small seating area. Much to our surprise the restaurant just keeps going further and further back where they can accommodate larger parties! Do not let the hostess deter you from this restaurant (I never saw her smile the whole time we were there on two different days and watched her seat several tables..the 1st day I thought maybe just a bad morning but she was just as RUDE the 2nd day we went). Their breakfast was the best breakfast we had on our week long vacation, hence the reason we went back our last morning in Custer despite the RUDE hostess! We had pastry items from the bakery that were all so yummy!! We also ordered the Classic, the Breakfast Tacos, the Denver Scramble and the Smothered Breakfast Burrito. The burrito alone could feed 2 or 3 people, it was huge!! The green chili sauce they use is Delish!!! The coffee was also very good!! Both servers we had were very friendly and food delivery was very fast! I just wished the hostess would have been more friendly and would have gladly given 5 stars!!

With all the great reviews, we were looking forward to breakfast at Baker's Bakery & Cafe. The young gentleman at the counter was very friendly but the older lady with him was downright unpleasant. Her attitude appeared cross, short, and why-the-heck-are-you-bothering-me in nature. We placed our to-go order and waited in the designated area by the front windows. And waited. And waited. Finally, the order was ready. We left and had our breakfast about 10 minutes later. One of the egg sandwiches was 'only okay' and the other was inedible. The sandwich was listed with bacon but we didn't know that meant slab bacon (which for us, is no problem as we eat it often enough out and at home.) What made this completely awful was one sandwich's "bacon" consisted of chunks of pure fat only. The sandwich was full of it, making it a slimy/chunky mess. Even after removing the chunks of fat, the rest of the sandwich wasn't good tasting, either. The entire thing went into the garbage. The bun they claim they are famous for was going to be the last saving grace of this awful breakfast. After two bites, that as well went into the garbage. Yikes.

Great food, bakery and fast service. Nicole was our waitress, she was fast and friendly. The food and atmosphere was great. We would differently recommend.

The atmosphere was fantastic. The staff was very nice. The food was really good. The cost was comparable. We had a great experience. I'll be going back again.
