“Visited the Black Hills and Custer this last weekend, asked one of the local shops where the best pizza place was in town and they recommend Pizza Mill. Made our order online, It was ready in 30 minutes and was some of the best pizza we’ve ever had. Customer service is excellent, shop is really cool and I was contemplating on staying another day just so I could have another pizza. Great place!”

“I’ve been living in Custer temporarily for the past 6 months and every time I’ve gone into that subway - I’ve left feeling so good and full!! Justin is quite the artist over there!!

If you ever get a chance to go to this location: ask for Justin and have him make you his signature sandwich! It’s a killa!!!! I no longer order anything else on the menu other than this sandwich! It’s absolutely glorious!!”

“We stopped in here while we stayed the night in Custer and the locals were very welcoming. Ryan and Ellie spoke to us like we were long time friends. The bartender and manager treated us very well. If I wasn't from Illinois I'd go back at least bi-weekly. I can't comment on the drinks. I was DD and just had cherry coke.”

“This was a most delightful and delicious lunch we had today. Our server, Lauren was wonderful. The service was great and the food came out really quickly. I had the Turkey Croissant while my SO opted for the Southwest Wrap. Both were delicious and mine came out hot and with coleslaw. I haven’t had a Turkey Croissant that good in years. The wrap was very tasty too. We would highly recommend this establishment for lunch.”

This isn’t your ordinary ice cream shop. The ice cream is homemade in small batches, incredibly creamy, rich and packed with flavor. And the flavors are anything but ordinary! They have so many unique combinations that it’s hard to choose just one.
The texture is what really stood out to me — extra creamy and smooth, with BIG flavor in every bite. And if you get one of their fresh homemade waffle cones, it takes it to another level.
We’ve had a lot of ice cream on this trip, but Horatio’s was something special. If you’re anywhere near Custer, make the stop. You won’t regret it!”

“Ordered beef fajitas. Food was very good. Waitress provided good service. She had big lips and lots of tattoos. There was an loud argument among the employees but it didn't spill over into the dining area. No alcohol but I didn't want any so that wasn't a problem.”

“9-10-26 Wife and I came for breakfast. To be honest we were headed somewhere else and I got my directions messed up. We were at a table looking at the menu before we realized we were not where we meant to go. Glad we stayed though. Wife had French Toast with 2 scrambled eggs, while I had biscuit and gravy with 2 scrambled eggs. The gravy was cool when it first came out, but they warmed it up without issue and it came back piping hot. The biscuit was light and flakey under gravy that was filled with sausage. There was a slight spice to the sausage which made it all the better. Wife French toast was thick, covered with powdered sugar, strawberries and blueberries. She said the syrup was thick and held up to the bread well. Her eggs were also cold, but she did not send them back”
