Went in upon arrival in Custer for a couple of cold beers while waiting for our room to be ready at the place we were staying. It was mid afternoon and we had a pleasant chat with the bartender and patrons. I wanted to purchase a coozie, and the bartender warned me they were pricey, but were leather. I went ahead and got one and absolutely ? love it! Washed up easily when dirty and keeps my beer or soda ice cold! We may come out again next fall and we'll definitely stop again!
Standard bar food, we opted to split a pollock fish sandwich. It exceeded expectations and half each with a plate of tomatoes instead of potatoes held us until dinner. The service was great. Jim was super attentive and nice and made our Tito and club soda with a spash of cran, just as they should be, asked for a short glass instead of a tall one full of ice and he obliged no problem. The bartender was super engaging and kind. We ordered food and there were a lot of things unavailable and he didn’t know so he had to keep coming back but was not a bother at all. The food comes from the bartender place next door. They accommodated my dairy allergy. Overall great spot. It was not busy but I can see how it would get that way.
