“This was a great find right next to the Stables at Palmer Gulch where my family did a trail ride. We were seated right away by friendly staff and our food came quite quickly as well. The food was very good. Between our family members (2 adults and kids ages 17, 14 and 11) we got Philly Cheesesteak, chicken bacon ranch wraps, and a beer burger with a variety of sides. We were pleased with the convenience of being right next to the stables and the quantity and quality of the food. It sustained us for the hikes we did in Custer State Park. Our bill plus tip was just over $100 for the 5 of us.”

“What a beautiful place! Mountain Peaks Inn definitely feels like your home away from home. Each room is immaculate, spacious, and stocked with everything you need for your stay. The owners, Steve and Lisa are readily available, quick to respond, and very knowledgeable about the area. A major bonus of staying here is the attached coffee shop - Caboose Coffee. You will find a friendly face working in this family owned and run business, whether it’s Steve, Lisa, or one of their children. Delicious coffee, smoothies, teas, freshly baked good, etc. await you as you as you step inside! It’s set in a convenient location to downtown Hill City and area attractions. I definitely recommend staying at Mountain Peaks Inn.”

“We had dinner on 8/15/23 during a stop for our cross-country road trip. It turned out to be one of the best places in the 20+ states we have visited. We ordered the full sampler combo as a meal, as well as a Double Jalapeno Cheeseburger. Food came out in a very reasonable time frame. Atmosphere was very comfortable and inviting. The combo plate was massive, with tons of excellent appetizers and plenty of dipping sauces. I am very picky about burgers, and this was one of the best burgers I have ever had. Everything was very fresh, especially the jalapenos. The burger had a lot of meat - stacked very high. Fries were excellent. But the biggest surprise was the condition of the bathroom. What a welcome surprise to see a restaurant that genuinely cares about the condition and maintenance of its bathrooms. Super clean and immaculate condition. Any food establishment that cares about its bathrooms clearly cares about its customers. Our servers were outstanding as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!”
