Our family of seven (4 generations) from Texas had lunch at the Begging Burro our last day of our Fall Break in South Dakota. We had a little bit of a hard time communicating with our server, but we got it figured out and our food came out just as we ordered it. We started with a tableside guacamole and it was so good!! My dad even said, he should not have ordered an entree because he could have just ate the chips and guac!! We also ordered the El Clasico Pork Pastor Tacos, Delish with the grilled pineapple in them!! The rest of our food was the Shrimp and Scallops Tequila, the Chicken Enchiladas and the Cheese Steak Torta. All of these were Yummy!! The garlic mashed potatoes were Delish!! Even if you do not have children, ask to see a children’s menu…the names are perfect haha We will definitely be eating here again if we are in Custer and recommend it to anyone!!

OMG! I have tried eating at Mexican food chains and loved it. But eating here at Begging Burro felt so authentic. The taste was fresh. And the waitperson who attended our table was so courteous. V ordered a Fish Tacos, drinks,a salad and everything tasted fresh. Our stay in Custer was bcoz of something unexpected, but the dinner there at Begging Burro made it worthwhile.
We absolutely loved our food! Their chips and salsa were so good and the food was excellent. Our service was a bit slow but they seemed a little shirt staffed but they were all very friendly. Definitely recommend!

Nice clean restaurant with a very attentive staff. I initially ordered a dish that had cilantro, which I do not like. I asked if it could be removed and the waiter said yes, then consulted the kitchen, who informed him there would still be some because it couldn’t all be removed. He informed me of this and we selected another dish. I appreciate honesty!

Thanks Antonio (?) for a great dining experience!! The food was excellent and the service was top notch!!The Green Chili Pork was so good and the Fire Margarita was the perfect amount of heat and sweet.We will be back for sure!

Glad we drove to Custer especially for this. Was great food and excellent service. Was able to looked at nearby shops while we waited for our table. Each of us had different dishes, but GET the brisket....enough said!!
