The food is amazing. The owners are dedicated and really produce excellent results every single time. My favorite is the fresh fruit salad and the hot pastrami.

Like to take the time to say thank you, this is by far most the best deli that I’ve had in quiet some time, you guys are always open to allowing me try different things, and today you supplied the meat to celebrate our great doctors for doctor day and they really loved it!
An absolute gem you must not miss when in Custer, and worth going out of your way if you’re visiting Rushmore or Crazy Horse. The Braia family members are friendly and welcoming, and Gabi was delightful. She makes as much as she can from scratch and takes great pride in her food, and it definitely shows.Our family of five went for breakfast and got the lemon-blueberry pancakes, chocolate-chip pancakes, bagel and cream cheese, breakfast sandwich, and biscuits and gravy. The lemon-blueberry pancakes were incredible. I knew as soon as I tasted the biscuits and gravy—and Gabi confirmed—it was all from scratch. That’s getting harder and harder to find these days, let alone in small-town South Dakota.This is home cooking away from home. Don’t miss it.Kid-friendliness: Brought three kids who all enjoyed the food (although take note the pancake servings are very large!) Great selection for kids, including chocolate chip pancakes. Our 12-year old asked for a second toasted bagel w/cream cheese after devouring his first. Our kids made a bit of a mess with the pancakes and syrup, and we did our best to clean up, but I always get a bit self-conscious about things like that. Gabi brightly assured us we were fine and that they didn’t mind. We also had a friendly chat about the kids and how our trip was going. Great family place.

If you want the feelnof a family ran deli. This is it..we went there because i love delis. I love buying freshly sliced meat and cheese. And i ordered up a cheese burger with everything. They offer you these potatoes for a side.. I wasn't keen on those.. but the burger with the bun was absolutely perfect. We will be going there again..

Wonderful service, Authentic food, and an atmosphere filled with all the best smells and smiles are a few notes that come to mind. Gabby and her family have created an incredible spot here for Custer. Home to hands down the best and most reliable food around, I find I cannot wait to brighten my day with one of the many options on their menu!P.S. The new burgers are fantastic!
The New Yorker is amazing! The tomato and rice soup is also excellent. They are so kind there and the sandwiches are always awesome, lots of meat piled up on good bread.
