…. stopped for a cold beverage after hiking Hell Canyon (late September). Bartender was working her A$$ off …. kudos to her (I think the name on the ticket said “Ned”) ….anyway … it was busy and she made the best of it! We ordered Walleye Sandwich and fries …. it was good, but the menu said “pan fried walleye”, …. but it was actually deep fried walleye ….nevertheless…. we were okay…. Life is too short to worry about some things!

We stopped in at the Gold Pan Saloon by accident. We were headed back to our AirBnB after the lighting ceremony at Mount Rushmore and they were the only place in Custer that was open. Boy were ever lucky that they were the only place open, the food was so good. Their french fries were some of the best we have ever had and the burgers were juicy and tasty. I had a Moscow Mule and it was one of the best that I have ever had. Thank you Gold Pan Saloon for the great hospitality.
Parking: Plenty of parking, but then there were no other businesses open at that time.

We only went to the bar once, and the following evening we also went to dinner! Romy always served us, a very friendly and hard-working waitress! Good food, good service, and a great ambience! Had two lovely stays on site! Only recommended!

The staff is terrible, doesn't respond to any orders. Stand at the bar to pay tab, and they go off and service other people's drinks before taking your money. Left me standing for 20 minutes before taking my money & thanks me for being patient

Bad service, lazy staff. Place was dead and waitress talk to each other and don't bring drinks unless you ask. No signature drinks or good cocktails. I ask for waitress to recommend something, she rolled eyes and was unhelpful. Bar across the street is much nicer, cleaner, with good drinks and service.
Been here a couple of times now; burgers and fries, fish & chips all GREAT!!! We had great service and enjoyed our time here for dinner and cocktails!! Portobello burger was especially outstanding.

Had breakfast and conjoined Calamity Janes Coffee shop but since they didn’t show up on Maps….. It was incredible, has bagel and lox, steak tips and biscuits and gravy. All were awesome, hats off to the chef. Highly recommend stopping g here for your AM needs.
