Amazing little place for breakfast w a Scandinavian infused menu for some of the items. It also serves up some favorite staples for breakfast w a high caliber take on the. It's pricey but worth it. I recommend the rice pudding to start. From there its up to you!

I wish I would’ve taken a picture of the Sashimi Deviled Eggs. They’re delicious, truly the best I’ve ever had. I could’ve eaten three orders of them and been completely happy. The potatoes in Custer’s Last Meal are well seasoned as was the hash brown, yummy! The Rice Pudding was sweet and salty, great pairing to my coffee.

We decided to drive down to Custer for breakfast at Hjem. Reservations were easy on Resty, we were greeted in a timely manner. Server was pleasant. The food was excellent. I had the Eggs Benedict, my husband had the chicken & Norwegian Waffles. The chicken had been marinaded & was very tasty! My Eggs Benedict offering was excellent with homemade hollandaise. They also have some more unusual offerings. If sashimi is not your idea of breakfast, don’t worry. There is an offering that is sausage, eggs, toast & potatoes. Next time I want to try one of the sweeter offerings. Beer & wine available. If you are a “foodie” don’t miss HJEM! Open on Sunday & offers outdoor dining.

Very charming and inviting breakfast/brunch location with amazing food! The hash browns are maybe the best I've ever had. The service was great, too. It was understandably crowded; I'd definitely recommend making a reservation if you don't like waiting. It was totally worth the wait however!

Absolutely amazing. I think it was the best pancake I’ve ever had. Both their hasbrowns and breakfast potato’s were both delicious. The bacon was great, eggs cooked to perfection. And their homemade sausage is very good

This is absolutely the best breakfast joint in Custer. Custer is an amazing town and I have to say hjem is by far one if the best spots to get food. If your a breakfast fella like me you'll love this establishment. Erik and Cami are amazing people and make the most flavorful and best looking food you'll ever taste. From the very intricate designs they make with their food to the many amazing flavors that expand your pallet. The staff are amazing and very attentive, they always check in and make sure all your needs are met. The place is very cozy and welcoming. Hjem is most defiantly one of the spots in custer YOU ABSOLUTLY HAVE TO TRY!!!!
