I have to say this is by far most the best restaurant here in town for brunch, the customer service is top notch like I literally came a little over a month ago and my same waiter remembered not only my food but everyone’s food that was with me, Eric you rock! I also want to shout out a special person Cami she figured things out with my party, even when things didn’t go as planned or even the cancellation, she was very professional about the whole situation and very apologetic. She saw my email and reached out immediately I am grateful to know that she cares and I thank you!

Stumbled upon this gem while visiting the area. The service is top notch and the food is spectacular! We ordered the Italian French toast which came with mascarpone and lemon zest which was heavenly. And my daughter loved her Banana foster pancakes. We would eat here every morning of our trip if it was open!

One of, if not THE premier breakfast place in South Dakota!1. The atmosphere is quaint and delightful with just enough noise to have a private conversation, but not so much it's hard to hear.2. The service is impeccable and every waiter/waitress is a bundle of delight to talk to - they never interrupt your meal and somehow appear a few seconds before you realize you need something.3. The menu is thoughtfully put together to offer choices for every palate, and the execution is flawless - eggs perfectly done, sausage perfectly cooked, rice pudding fresh and not soggy... The list goes on.If you find yourself in Custer in the morning, this is a must-try restaurant.

Always such a treat to be here for brunch! Everything on the menu is amazing. Today our table had the deviled eggs, Lobster and regular Benedicts, Strawberry toast and Bob pancake with lingonberries. All were cooked to perfection. I mistakenly made my reservation for a different date but Cami did her magic and got us in! Love being recognized as locals by everyone that works there it is so special.
My partner and I were visiting SD and WY for a national park trip and stopped here for breakfast one morning. After a severely depressing meal near the Badlands the night before, I needed a win. We had the most exquisite breakfast at Hjem A.M. Visiting from a food city, I usually need to manage my food expectations when traveling to smaller towns, but that wasn't the case here at all!Our server was unbelievably nice, gave fantastic recommendations, and was super attentive. The inside was cute, but we opted to sit on the patio and it was great. We got the rice pudding, pancakes with fried chicken, and their standard breakfast with eggs and sausage. All were complete hits. The chicken was juicy, breading was fantastic. Their sausage was fantastic, tasted artisanal or something. Rice pudding was sweet, cold, and refreshing. I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about this establishment.

Had an amazing experience. Ordered chorizo biscuits and gravy and my husband got the eggs Benedict, both awesome. Cami was so sweet and friendly. Will definitely be our breakfast go to place when we’re in town.

Once seated, dare to try some of the more unique menu items like ‘Morning walleye’ or ‘Japanese French toast,’ you won’t regret it. Of course there are conventional breakfast items and options for kids. Do yourself a favor and plan to dine here while in town.
