We had to come here for lunch because the gift shop didn't have the grill open. Delicious food. Great service. Thank you Chris.

Good location within Custer State Park. Convenient for hiking trailheads #9 and #4, as well as, around Sylvan Lake.
We enjoyed one dinner & one lunch at the on site restaurant. Both meals and service (thank you AG and P!!) were great.

Wedding venue was perfect.
Mice were plentiful. Trapped 4 the first night. Were told they had no more traps. More mice the 2nd night. Finally housekeeping brought some as we were leaving. Another room we had never did get a trap.
One employee was friendly and pleasant.
Paint chipped off the walls with white patches. Furniture upholstery dusty. Will not return.
Noteworthy details: Must purchase a $20 park pass to attend an event.

Didn’t stay there but we ate dinner in the restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff was very courteous and friendly
I would recommend the restaurant and probably the lodge accommodations

The location is great, the room is not as requested. Questions at the front desk were ignored or we were told to call the reservation number. No help. We asked to see the manager and were told we would receive a call from him. Nothing but crickets so far. The food and drinks are barely tolerable. They weren't cheap and the menu is the same at all the state lodges. Unfortunately, service has declined so much over the years I cannot recommend this location any more. Great location is all I can say positive today.
Walkability: Great walk around the lake though part of it is closed for updates. no path from the lodge though. Driving is the only way to get there.

Very cool lake to hike around.
This place is poorly managed. We booked suites 4 months ago. And when we got here, they stuck us in far crappier rooms without explanation and wouldn’t move us. Their double occupancy rooms are so small, I think prison cells are bigger. Their manager couldn’t care less. And the workers are just as apathetic. The food in the lodge was barely edible. This place was so much better in years past. This place needs a complete staff overhaul or some hospitality training to say the least.

Way overpriced for the size and quality of the cabin.

Rooms were clean, but outdated. Beds hard as a rock. Location is amazing. Food was delicious.

Sylvan lake is always a highlight of our trip to the hills. We rented a few kayaks, hiked around the lake, and enjoyed the beach.
Nearby activities: They have kayaks and canoes for rent.
Walkability: The hike around the lake is great.

Thank you to Princess for making our visit so enjoyable. The food was great the service was spectacular. The lodge itself is full of old world charm. The location beautiful.
We will definitely be comming back.

The restaurant was incredible! The food was very flavorful. The house salad and the Caesar salads were the best salads I've had in my life. I'd go there again.
Food & drinks: The besta salads ever!
