Absolutely great food. Had the buffalo Chillicothe and a cup of chili. They were outstanding.
The waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. I loved this café. I will be back!

Tried out this “gem” of a place tonight and were very disappointed. We ordered 2 sirloins (medium rare) and 1 ribeye (medium rare) and those were the toughest cuts of meat we have ever eaten. One of our sirloins was burnt so badly on the top that all you tasted was the charred flavor. The zucchini was soggy, as if it was frozen. The mashed potatoes were delicious, and the Parmesan garlic sauce was a hit. We did enjoy the chislic. It was cooked perfectly, and so tender to the bite. It did lack a little seasoning, but the chislic was part of the reason why we ordered the sirloins, but what we received was not the same quality.
The server was very kind and attentive, my husband’s drink was never empty. She did smell strongly of weee, which is not a scent I appreciate while eating dinner. I do wish the quality was better for the prices they’re charging, they definitely should either put more effort into what they’re serving or lower their prices to reflect what you actually get.

Went for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was on a separate floor from the casino. Had the ham steak which was griddled to a nice caramelized crust and the hash browns were crispy and buttery, just the way I like them.

Terribly rude front desk service person we walked in and walked right out. Didn’t look like we missed out on much was dead inside nothing different or exciting about it, plenty of other places right in that area that are much better wouldn’t waste the time checking this one out.

My husband and I visited The Gem for an early dinner on Aug 31st. My husband ordered the battered cod, I ordered sirloin (medium).
We received our food quickly and everything looked amazing. The waitress said she would give me a moment to cut into my steak to ensure its done to my liking. It. Was. Amazing.
Steak was cooked to perfection. It had a nice char on it but was medium inside.
Hubby says fish was very good too.
Our waitress was also amazing.
Thank you for making my first official meal in South Dakota so pleasent.

Not going to recommend this place to anyone. Chicken fried steak (or blackened?) was definatly cooked in old grease or overcooked.. Had to ask twice for a refill of ice tea and empty water glasses. Not busy and plenty of staff so not sure what the issue is (not a new server or new cook)? If reply is given don't want to hear we'll do better next time. Quality and integrity. Apologies for the rant but on vacation and dislike the lack customer service.

Went there with my family and had the “Buffalo Bill”. Advertised as an open faced buffalo sandwich covered with gravy and mashed potatoes with a side of gravy. Basically was just a pile of blubber on a piece of bread covered with gravy. All I ate was the piece of white bread with some gravy on it, and I just left the rest because it was inedible. My mom got the French dip, which was so tough she couldn’t even cut through it with a knife. Don’t get me wrong. I am not a picky person at all and I never complain at restaurants, but this food was just awful bad. We told the waitress and there was no attempt to even discount the food or even take the drinks off the bill. Will never be back

Had the Seth’s Filet Mignon with the Melted Blue Cheese. Hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Truly delicious and the staff was wonderful. If I could give a higher review, I would. Highly recommend to all newcomers to try this legendary steak, you will not be disappointed. Our waitress was Traci who was wonderful and delightful.

The food was ok.
Portion served was very little for a steak dinner.
Salad was very good portion.
Our server worked hard for all the tables she had.
