“Whiskey River Co. is a great stop in Deadwood. We popped in looking for a gift for a whiskey connoisseur in our life and ended up finding the perfect bottle along with a couple of Deadwood glass tumblers to bring home.

The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! If you enjoy whiskey, bourbon, or are looking for a unique gift, I’d definitely recommend stopping in.”

“Stopped for breakfast this morning for the first time. Have had the lunch and dinner menu plenty of times. Service was well above average, food was amazing, portions were plentiful. Definitely worth the drive in the weather.”

“We were in Saturday for a late birthday lunch and it was absolutely perfect! The food was phenomenal, everyone in our group loved what they ordered, but beyond that our server Austin was amazing. We were a little rowdy and he was great at putting up with our nonsense and was so much fun but also very knowledgeable and made great food recommendations. I had a burger that Austin recommended and it was delicious! We also really enjoyed the bar tender too but unfortunately I didn’t get her name. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back!”

“Recently celebrated a birthday at Jake’s with a party of 15. All 15 guests were impressed by the atmosphere and the food. My husband and I first heard of Jake’s fine dining during a bourbon tasting in deadwood and came across Jake’s old fashioned. We thought this was a perfect opportunity to check out the actual restaurant and of course enjoy another Jake’s old fashion. It definitely held up to our expectations. We look forward to visiting again.”

“Did it right, got there early. Steak medium rare. An amazing experience and thank FLL we picked it. Nicole our server was amazing, friendly and knowledgeable with recommendations. For the manager, my only recommendation would be to have the hostess a little more welcoming and concerned about their job and maybe better communication about what to do before you get the test to go down stairs before “everyone “ gets the same text at opening. I didn’t have an issue but many were complaining about the disorganization. Will definitely be back in a next visit and no doubt a recommendation to others if you are unsure. This was also on a Kool nights week day 1.”

“I was doing some sight seeing in Deadwood SD and happen to run into Durty Nellys and man was I happy about having a few drinks there. The service was impeccable and I even had a tour and learned about the history of the bar and the town. The drinks were great and the vibe was better. Alex was my bartender and you couldn't ask for a better one in town. She's great! You might fall in love with this place, I know I did.”

“We finally had time to go in to lou Lou’s with or 1 year old the ladies who work there are so kind and sweet and the service was wonderful we found our new spot to enjoy a treat or a wonderful lunch . the food was so delicious and you get so much for such a good price .it felt like you was walking into grandmas kitchen with wonderful ladies who greeted us they are so kind and made our food so fast . They just made you feel so welcomed highly recommend and the coffee was sooo good what a hidden gem in our small mountain town .”

“I recently just had a couple of pieces of pizza from your factory and I must say excellent crust, not doughy like other pizza places, delicious sauce, delicious cheese, and I was stoked by the fact that the pizza was not greasy at all. “We ate in the bar area where there are a bunch of TVs with many different sports games.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures but my friend with me ate a Smashburger with fries. It looked really good. She said it was excellent. . I had the trashcan nachos. The concept is cute but when you dump out the trashcan, the cheese didn’t really get very well distributed nor did any of the ingredients for the on top of the chips. Also, It probably would’ve tasted better with real cheese. The chicken on it was really good and it was more than enough for a dinner, Even though it is an appetizer…. The next time we ate there, we both had the macaroni and cheese and the pork barbecue. Macaroni could’ve used much more cheese. The pork was good. The macaroni was cooked perfect.
Service at the bar was pretty good was kind of confusing because they had 3 or 4 bartenders. They kind of worked “over” each other, Meaning they didn’t really have an assigned section. They just kind of waited on people as they needed it. It seemed a little confusing to me.”
