We have been in deadwood before. Horrible dining. This place is far from fine dining but the food is good and the atmosphere is the best. The service in this day and time is above par. Saige is the best server and has a personality to go with it. Sit outside and enjoy!
There was a great "old west" type of feel, however, the food did not measure up. My husband and I both had the 6 oz. sirloin for $23. My steak was undercooked. I asked for it to be fired a bit more. It came back hard and chewy. While the server was lovely and offered to get me a new one, I didn't want it at that point. I asked at my hotel what the best dive bar in Deadwood was and they told me the 10--not a dive bar, but awesome in it's own right--and Bodega. While Bodega is clean, the staff friendly, and locals abound it has the most 'dive' vibe I think you can find in Deadwood. And sometimes that's just what you're looking for.
