“Very cool place for a drink. The Will Bill museum was pretty neat as well. I learned more about Wild Bill in that bar than I've ever heard before. Super friendly staff. Had a great time in there with some friends during a conference. Would definitely recommend this bar to anyone in the area.“

“During a three day stay we visited this bar on a few occasions. The food is excellent especially the pizza. The drinks are reasonably priced also. The best thing about this bar is the bar man from California. He is so friendly and talkative and goes out of his way to give good recommendations and advice?“

Deadwood Distilling Company Bar • $$
645 Main St #2, Deadwood

“There were stains on the walls of the stall in the men's room. People have fought for their lives on these porcelain thrones and lost the battle. The swinging doors are neat, but apparently the women's doesn't have a latch to lock them. Also, the toilets flush pretty slowly and the fear of a clogged toilet flooded (pun intended) my entire body. Bathroom experience: 3.5/10All in all, the distillery itself is very nice for such a tourist-dependent Midwest town. They have some nice whiskeys (the Calamity Jane peanut butter whiskey being my personal favorite). Actual experience: 6.5-7/10.“

Buffalo Restaurant & Saloon Bar • $$

“I asked at my hotel what the best dive bar in Deadwood was and they told me the 10--not a dive bar, but awesome in it's own right--and Bodega. While Bodega is clean, the staff friendly, and locals abound it has the most 'dive' vibe I think you can find in Deadwood. And sometimes that's just what you're looking for. The beer is cold, there are actual penny slots where you can just play a penny--and they're not hidden. Any visit to Deadwood and I always find myself back here. You should too.“
