What an awesome surprise. First of all, we started with perfectly made cocktails (French 75 + the chef's special Old Fashioned). All of the food courses were excellent (pheasant rillettes + split ice wedge salad + bison oxtail agnolotti topped with foi gras and served with a demi glace + lobster alfredo). The coup de grâce was Toby, our server, who not only lead us to our choiced based on our conversations but then paired them perfectly with wines that were not even listed on the menu. Chef John came to our table to talk food. It was a delightful experience. Thank you so much. Pat and Christine
Steaks were great. Waitress awful. We never received bread even after requesting, waitress gave some strange conflicting excuses but I noticed every other table received bread who were sat after us.
Toby was our waiter for a large group. This man is special. He was describing the food and drinks in such detail that I was lost in his verbal artistry. If this man is selling, I'm buying. Food was great, service was better. Highly recommend this intimate dining experience and ever changing menus. Top quality all around. I can't say enough positive things. Very impressed.

While the food was obviously high quality and expertly crafted from presentation and depth of taste, the service is where Snitches really excels. Toby and team served our table of 12 last night to much fanfare telling stories about our dishes, recommendations for pairings, and made sure everyone left there with a positive experience. A+ for Snitches.

The new menu is INCREDIBLE! The Bison Oxtail Agnolloti with the Foie Gras is top shelf flavor, and was a suggestion by our waiter Toby and his suggestion and service was on point.
We both had the special which was halibut and it was delicious. I was a little worried it would be noisy since it’s basically right in the casino but it wasn’t at all. It was quite cozy.

We had the most fantastic evening at Snitches. Chef John brought us a special tartar amuse-bouche for my birthday. We had a wonderful conversation with him and his plans for a brilliant updated menu. The service was the best I've ever had in South Dakota. The hostess was friendly and engaging. Our server, Toby, anticipated absolutely everything we would need. His suggestions were spot on. He made an already great evening even more special. We both had the tenderloin, prepared exactly as ordered and butter tender, and paired with truffle mac and cheese along with sauteed wild mushrooms. Pastry Chef Greg had created a new dessert for the evening. It was a layered dessert in a stemless wine glass with rich chocolate mousse, topped by housemaid cashew butter and then topped with a dollop of rich cream. And finally, small pieces of house-made honeycomb for texture. I really hope they put that on the menu because it was outstanding. And yes, they make an excellent cocktail!

A disappointment! Apparently only 2 of 4 beers are still available. How to order one of these. Shortly afterwards we are informed that this is unfortunately no longer in stock. We don't feel like the last thing, a sour beer.
We order the food, surf & turf. And are informed again that this is unfortunately no longer available. The starter salads are tiny and wilted. Instead of French dressing, my husband seriously gets a bowl of ketchup. You have to notice that, right?
The only main course is my husband's. I am informed that unfortunately there was a mistake in the kitchen and they will now cook the dish from scratch. After a while the cook himself comes and apologizes. Apart from the fish, nothing about the dish corresponds to what was on the menu and what I ordered.
Fine dining was just the bill.

We arrived 10 minutes before opening and the host gave us a table! Toby was our server and he was very knowledgeable about the menu as well as very personable. The food was excellent, Toby went above and beyond to create a memorable dining experience.

Food was great! I got the tenderloin and it was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. Melvin, my waiter was awesome! They didn't have the ingredients for my drink (thank you rally goers), but that didn't matter because he made me a custom drink based on my preferences. It was delicious and probably better than the one I wanted! Needless to say, he was the best waiter I've had in a restaurant in a long time!

Can't speak on rooms, but food took a loooongngg time and it was only for 2 sandwiches. Bread was burnt on both. One sandwich was supposed to be a bit but they brought a turkey melt. We were so hungry it wasn't worth saying anything because we didn't want to wait even longer for correct sandwich.

Stayed 3 nights at the Rocksino and enjoyed the beautiful and very comfortable room plus the tavern in the casino. Drinks are free as long as your gambling and they don't limit what you can order. I also had dinner at the bar and enjoyed their supreme pizza.
Rooms: Very nice and comfortable with great decor and amenities
Nearby activities: Located on main street in Deadwood was able to watch concert in square from my room
Walkability: Walked everywhere!

Hickok’s Tavern was disappointing. There was one nice waitress and delicious pizza. However, the $20 nachos were terrible, served with plastic plates with undrinkable water. We would not go back.
This place was everything I was hoping for. Service was friendly and gracious, and the food was delicious. Excellent mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts! They also have a good drink selection. Overall, this place delivers and I would go back if I were in town again.
