We’ve gone to Jake’s since it opened some 30 years ago. It’s had its ups and downs. Tonight we had the prix fixe, Which was a good value and quite tasty. It is, however, time for the facility to be deep, cleaned and updated. It is old and tired and would be so much more appealing with new floors, clean lighted pillars, and clean floors and windows. While we were there, a woman fell down the stairs to the sun and dining area, because where there used to be lights, highlighting the stairs, there are no more. I have hope for our favorite romantic place.
Vegetarian options: The buffalo Chislic appetizer is delicious As is the shrimp tempura appetizer. The chicken marsala was quite good, but could use some thing to brighten it up like lemon or I don’t know what. My husband enjoyed his fillet very much.
Kid-friendliness: Please do not bring children here.

First they burnt the scallops then served undercooked scallops. The French onion soup was not covered with cheese. Then I ordered the wild game trio and said that my food was overcooked. They said:sorry. " I asked what happened to the sorbet between the appetizers and salad and said my order of soup messed up the timing. I don't mind spending money for a quality meal and it definitely wasn't that. I would never recommend.

Went for a valentines day dinner, the guy playing the guitar and singing was,so loud we could hardly hear each other. Service was great and so was the food. Tone down the music and it would have been perfect

Went there for my birthday, they didn't have the buffalo ravioli so I settled for a buffalo tomahawk. When Rochelle brought our meal ,which I ordered med-well it was black and krusti. I don't send food back no matter what. We could only eat the middle of the steak. We paid 172.00. Why would a waitress bring to a table, 5 star dinning a burnt steak. I've been there before and it was 5 star service as well as food JC was my waitressand everythingwas perfect. My boyfriend had the same thing the steak was perfect med-well. I used to send a lot of people there but I won't anymore.

Overall, a very good dining experience. Nicely structured menu with options. Drinks were well prepared and their status checked as expected. Service staff was better than expected with main waitress exceptional. It had been several years (and a previous owner) since dining at Jake's and I'm happy last night happened. I will definitely dine there again.
Party of 10. Our server was young and amazing. We were happy to find fine dining on a Monday night. Everything was amazing! We were seated before our reservation time. Everyone ordered a beverage. Extra water was set on the table without asking, and we all appreciate that very much. The sorbet pallet cleanser between the salad and main course was enjoyable and something we aren't used to experiencing. The bread and salads were fresh and delicious. All food was executed very well and delicious. Trio of tenderloin, filet Oscar, sea bass, salmon, and the specials including Buffalo Ribeye and Korean short ribs have us a wide sample of meals. Highly recommend Jake's ?

Jake's is an excellent place for fine dining. It is a bit pricey so be prepared to spend 70$ per person minimum. The wine, food and desserts were excellent. The bison was a bit grisly. All other entrees (lamb, sea bass and filet) were wonderfully prepared and presented in a very aesthetically pleasing manner. It would be nice if they switched up the bread as it too seasoned. The wait staff was outstanding. Please bring back the grand piano to finish up the ambience.

A pleasant surprise in Deadwood and certainly the best meal of our vacation so far. Beautiful ambiance and delicious food. We enjoyed wonderful old fashioned's to begin our evening and a terrific Malbec with our dinner. Our appetizers were the escargot and the lobster and crab wonton's. For our entrees we enjoyed the filet trio and the buffalo ravioli which was one of the best pasta dishes we have ever had! Service from Janyse was excellent and she was warm and friendly. Definitely the highlight of our visit to Deadwood!

overall, the dining spirits was good and I will come back. Need to have more by the glass wine selections. My spinach vegetable was very small and portion and had no flavor. Lamb was very good slightly overdone as a yes for medium rare and came out medium.

What an unexpected delightful surprise a recent visit to Jake's Seakhouse turned out to be! My sea bass was PERFECT as was my husband filet. The service was impeccable even though they may have been a bit short staffed, you didn't see them sweat or miss a beat. We are locals from Custer and we have just found our FAVORITE restaurant in the Black Hills! We can't wait to go back!
