Service and food are pretty good . Place is cool.
One of the better breakfasts in Deadwood. Not sure I understand the use of paper plates though. So unnecessarily wasteful. But the food was all tasty, more reasonably priced than some other options, and the service was great. The pancakes are big and fluffy, the breakfast burrito was awesome, the chicken fried steak was great. Didn't love the gravy that came on the biscuits but the biscuits themselves were just about perfect.
We came twice during our stay and will return next time for sure.
Great breakfast and service!
We were sat at 9:15am. We received our breakfast at 11am. I spoke with the host about this as the entire restaurant had a 180 turnover. I assumed they had forgotten our order. He said “we have a new cook and she cooks one meal at a time. Leave a bad google reviewing if you don’t like it.” So here I am…..My comment to him was that was fine but how did the entire restaurant turn over if our order was placed in advance. He tried to blame our server who was clearly working hard and attentive to the table and asked for our order multiple times. I sat $45 on the table for the meal we never received and left. Please acknowledge your shortcomings and correct them vs. blaming your help for lack of service. The table next to us has been here an hour and are ready to leave as well: serve on paper plates- fine, but if you cannot provide service AT ALL that is another matter. Shame on you. This is a photo of my “fresh squeezed orange juice mimosa.”
So there's a menu on here from 2020. And the prices have increased 80-100% on every item by comparison. Every single one.
Inflation has gone up its true. 23% in that time. So.... What accounts for the rest?
Good food, reasonable amount, good service.
Will definitely return when i am in Deadwood
Coffee was overpriced and very weak and help yourself. Served on paper plates, eggs were not scrambled rather chopped up fried eggs. Overpriced and greasy food!
Poor customer service!!!! First we walked in- seen the sign for no split checks. We thought as 2 couples- ring up or orders on separated tickets.. no troubles. When came to ordering- our server was absolutely so rude and also said “ I have signs posted we can’t split checks” our thought was if we were to sit at two different tables you’d have to ring it up separately anyways. She was not willing to work with us at all. We decided we would just order- then she as she walked away stated “ I’ll get to your order when I get to it “ …. And walked back to the kitchen and was talking about our group so poorly… we felt so disrespected so we left- we will never be back. She was so rude!!! Awful service. Also trashy looking with hickies all over her neck.
Hometown, feel like a local cafe perfect for breakfast or to grab that morning mimosa. Very simple meals on paper plates but they are fresh, and delicious. The staff are very friendly and there is a gift shop area for any last minute shirts you may need while visiting the area. It's also attached to a casino.

Food and staff were great. There was an issue with the charge to my credit card and the owners were incredibly helpful and resolved the issue with excellent customer service.

The atmosphere was quaint and the food was decent. However, the service was poor and it was costly. Additionally, having to self serve coffee in a Styrofoam cup that was watered down, and total our own bill warrants a 1 star review.
