Five sweet golden lilac stars! ☄️ Found this place when I wandered in from the street after a passing car splashed puddle water on my Guess jeans; I was soaked! The gentlest bartender gave me some bar rags so I might clean up a little in the Infinity Room (which is what I nicknamed the restroom). There was hardly any time to fix my hair because I got a call from my mother, who is with the Philharmonic, and who, by nature, is more impatient than gravity. I’ve long learned to live to regret not answering her call the first time. To my luck, the wifi in the restroom is tip top, so not only could I tend to my mother’s call, but I was even able to call the bar and order a drink so it would be ready by the time I got out of the restroom. My face looked crazy in the mirror . . . crazy good, that is. Because last night I got a ton of rest! Deadwood is a great place to stretch out and relax. One could live the full measure of a man’s life in this town, would but he could afford the time. They gave me a tall drink and I was happy there was ice in it because it’s summer. Wild Bill’s Bar is the place to get your bearings, too, believe me. Mr. Yates is the sweetest bar man this side of Emelio Estevez (Young Guns / Old West reference). Sent my photos to everyone I work with, in a group chat before I left the restroom, and they already sent thumbs up and hearts back. That’s how good the wifi is in there. This bar will treat you right. Deadwood is a pretty town. Have you been to Wild Bill Bar??? 🦬

A great location to duck into for a quick drink or a longer stop to enjoy a few. Great cocktail choices and the service was on point.

Talk to the bar tender. Hopefully, they won't be too busy. $10 to step in to the area where Wild Bill was killed.

We visited from SC and met Pam the first visit and she was amazing. She's the kind of bartender you would want for this type of saloon! She was informative and gave us lots of history lessons. The second visit was Mr. Yates, again great service, and full of information. Would recommend the local beer, we had the Wild Bill Mild and Madame Margarette. If you get a chance, try the Whisky, you won't regret it. But like the sign says, the liquor is based on 1876 and they don't serve Jack, Jim, or Tito's. :) Also, Dog Friendly.

Tshirts tagged at 17.99. I was charged 62.00. I questioned this and was told they were $30 something a piece.... NOT COOL
We had a fun after with Britt learning about the history of the saloon and the town. Great drinks and tasty pizza! The $10 tour to see the original bar was worth the admission fees.

My wife and I stopped in for a quick drink including a tour of the basement bar. The “entertainment “ cussed us as we walked out about leaving him a tip. We will not return. 6/23/25

Definitely a cool bar to hang out, the bartender’s on Reckon this here’s a fine saloon to wet yer whistle — barkeep’s quick on the draw, place sure got that Deadwood grit.
Whiskey? More like tinted creek water, partner.
They wanted ten bucks a head to peek in a dusty room. I sez: hell nah.
Stop by, knock back a shot, snap yer pic — then mosey on. Plenty other watering holes in this ol’ boomtown.”

Visited 6/16/25, stopped at Wild Bill Bar for a drink at 2:30pm and let's just say the bartender and her rude self honestly is in the wrong field, her customer service was that of a stone! Hub and I sat at table after 10 minutes while she was waiting on people who sat at bar and ignoring the people at tables. My husband proceeds to the bar sits, doesn't someone take the seat at bar to the left of my husband and sure enough, she goes and waits on that man, still no service for my husband, he came back to table and said let's go! Wonder how many more walked out after us, due to the lack of service!! Owner should do better!
