First time we went very friendly lady served us and had great live music. We attempted 2 more times to come back and enjoy a drink and music. Both times the man behind the bar didnt even acknowledge us. We sat for 10 minutes waiting and nothing.
We were there 2 nights ago.
We has been in there 2 years ago and really enjoyed it, so we wanted to go back.
However, this time we went in. We got 1 drink, which too some time, and the bartender was extremely rude and condescending. We didn't have a second!!
Yates the bartender was awesome! My husband Andrew and I loved the overall atmosphere, the drinks, the history, and we highly recommend the self guided tour. We didn’t grab dinner there, so can’t review that but it looked good. Overall excellent experience.
Places like this are why I love America. It is a super cool spot.
This is the address of the place where Wild Bill Hickock was shot. The original saloon burned down just a few years after that; the current bar was simply built on the same site.
Oh my did we have the best time at this bar. Not only is the best History given, Margarit is so fun and has great bartenders!!! 🍻 we’ll be back!
Loved the atmosphere. In such a tourist town, you fee right at home. We were there over the weekend and had Mead for the first time. An older gentlemen was playing live music (wonderfully might I add) and the bartender was so kind and was a wealth of knowledge. Before going downstairs to tour where Wild Bill was shot and killed he gave our group and the other group of people all the background knowledge on what happened. And told us about the original street level of Deadwood and location of Deadwood (pre fires and floods in the later 1800s) highly recommend going in and checking it out!
Wife and I stopped in fora drink atmosphere is awesome and the bartender Yates was incredible!
We had our dog with us, and as we were walking past, the front door person said it was dog friendly. They weren't kidding. They had live music and it wasn't busy at all. We loved the atmosphere and will certainly be back. We did not eat, we just had a cocktail.
Very cool historic place to visit

We had such a good night at this bar during our holiday from the UK, nine months later our own little cowgirl was born!
Home of the original site of the Wild Bill Hickok shooting. Very friendly staff and unique interior. They went out of their way to accommodate a special project I had them help me with. Highly recommend it.
Kelsey was very helpful and knowledgeable.

What a fun bar! This is the actual bar where Wild Bill got shot and you can go on a self-guided tour yourself!
We stopped in here for the first time on September 5, 2024 and I'm happy we did! This bar is full of history and the bartender, Yates, took great care of us! They have a great selection of local beers and their hard liquor is very unique! You won't find the usual names but I still recommend trying them!
The gentleman playing the guitar was a hoot! He made us laugh and definitely added to the atmosphere! You can pay $10/per person for the self guided tour, and it's worth it! You'll be able to go down to the lower level which was where Wild Bill was shot that fateful day! Lots of cool history!
I highly recommend stopping in here! One of the historic shootouts happens right outside of this bar in the street, so stop in afterwards! It'll be worth it!
Parking: Not easy to find parking. It's just easier to walk

I can’t rate the food as we did not eat here but the service wa great. Natalie did an outstanding job keeping up with patrons and we were shocked this was her first day on the job. She handle herself as a veteran bartender. Def recommended.
