Friendly & Kind Service - Great Food. Driving through town and stopped during the lunch hour. They were busy (good sign, right!?) but we were greeted right away and then thanked for waiting. We had the Thursday special - homemade eggrolls - and they were amazing! Our lunches were very tasty too. 10 out of 10, would recommend.
My family ate the Homesteader not long after they opened. The food was FANTASTIC, service was Great and I LOVE what they did with the place. How lucky is Winner to have such a GREAT new restaurant? Great job, Joe and family!!!! Welcome to town!

Homesteader is a cozy small-town restaurant with a variety of American, Asian, and Mexican dishes. The owner, a lovely person with a great attitude, serves delicious food, especially the Asian options like Kung Pao Combo and the fantastic triple delight with vegetables. The menu includes options for vegetarians, and the atmosphere is family-friendly with space for kids to move around. The restaurant features a pool table, small casino, private dining tables, and a fully stocked bar with nice and cold beer. The Gorilla Burger and double bacon burger are recommended, along with the fantastic large (16oz) ribeye and hash browns. Mexican food is only served on Wednesdays. Despite limited dining space, the food comes out quickly and is enjoyable, including fresh salads with black olives, tomatoes, and cheese. Overall, Homesteader is a welcoming spot for a quality meal in Gregory, SD.
