Went for lunch and, as usual, it was delicious and filling. It is the last day they are open for the Season and they were very busy. I recommend this place, although it seems that I really don't need to, since it is already so well known! I had the smoked pork chop plate and my husband had a hamburger. Both meals were excellent. We had a really good waitress and a very pleasant experience.

Alpine Inn restaurant is so dang good. Make sure to have a reservation ahead of time. They also only take cash or check but definitely worth the stop.

We've never stayed at the inn, but stop for lunch every time we're in Hill City. The lunch offerings are delicious and fairly priced.I appreciate the effort the owners go to on the outside curb appeal of the inn. No matter the season, the inn looks fun, welcoming, and over the top in the best of ways! At Christmas time, be sure to stop for a photo and stay for a meal!

Always a favorite for lunch when I am in town.i go out of my way to eat dinner here at least 6 times a year. It's about a hour and a half drive one way! The food and service is always exceptional and the atmosphere is quite and pleasant. I recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling through the Black Hills.

We visited here for the first time on a certain day in November 2025. We came here to eat lunch. We ordered a Hot Coffee , a Arnold Palmer , a Kassler Rippchen from German Specialties and a Filet Mignon Burger from Sandwiches. The staff were very kind and helpful.

Love the food; however the hostess who sat us, who has been there for a long time, made some rude and inappropriate comments to me and my husband. We had been going there quite often for lunch because they have great lunches and reasonable prices; however we probably won’t be going there again due to the rude and inappropriate comments.
