This place is definitely up-and-coming. Great location at Maverick Junction just outside of Hot Springs, South Dakota. They have a beautiful dining room and an amazing bar - very authentic, fun western theme vibes. Outstanding service from start to finish - from the greeting at the beginning to the waitresses and the folks at the bar. They have three distinct dining rooms with lots of space and definitely lots of space for large parties if you had one. During the warmer months they also have a lovely outside shaded seating area.
Fell in love with their appetizer corn bites... Little sweet corn, fritters with a nice slightly spicy dipping sauce. They have excellent burgers with quality meat and they even had a bison burger.
Unfortunately, the two trips we made over the last week we were in the area they were out of the meatloaf, which sounded amazing... Meatloaf with mac & cheese and ketchup ;) - maybe next time!
The solid bar was just OK... It could definitely use some extra items to jazz it up - but I had that with some of their amazing chicken tenders, one night and the salads that they have on there from the macaroni salad to the green pea salad to the potato salad we're lovely.
Nice dessert selection too... Looked homemade, we just didn't have room for it, but it's always nice to have those choices.
Awesome beer selection on tap. I had a peach beer that was out of this world!
Definitely give this place five stars for the ambience, the customer service, there is something for everyone, the lovely food, and the cool beers on tap!

The price for a NY strip was high & it was a thin steak. Very disappointing. Texas toast was just regular bread not the thick kind Staff was very nice

Arrived at 7:30 (they close at 8:30), I ordered the rib eye ($38), 12 oz. They were out of baked potatoes so I got mashed🙁 My husband ordered the 16 oz prime rib special which came with the salad bar, roasted veggies, onion rings and toast. The rib eye was excellent- perfectly cooked and seasoned. Mashed potatoes okay. Prime rib was so-so. It did not appear to be a 16oz cut and the flavor was bland as was the au ju. The salad bar only had lettuce, celery, potato salad and cottage cheese. No tomatoes, cucumbers or any other vegetables. So that was disappointing. Potato salad was great. Server was nice but forgot our appetizer and butter. It may have just been the end of the night. I would recommend the ribeye but not the prime rib.
Had dinner on a Monday evening in Sept. Had the special which was a shaved prime rib sandwich. Added salad bar. Food was excellent! Friendly staff. Would definitely stop here again.

By far the most down home experience I've had since I left down home. I ate here three days in a row and the hospitality was beyond phenomenal. Had me seriously thinking about relocating for a gosh darn restaurant. No joke

Food was really good got an all American Burger added pepper jack cheese and bacon with Waffle fries. Fries were seasoned great. Burger while I normally eat medium for a more well done burger it was still juicy tomato and lettuce and onions were fresh. Topped it off with the chocolate chip cookie and milk cake. I see why that one sells out fast. Thanks for the great meal
