We stopped for a late lunch. I had the meatloaf sandwich, it was delicious. The portion was huge. My husband had the chicken sandwich, amazing. The service was great. Prompt and friendly. The chocolate chip cookies are to die for. We went back the next day and they were out, the owner offered to make us some on the spot. Ordered 6 and shared with our grandkids. Highly recommend. The staff and owner obviously care about your experience at their restaurant. We will go here every trip to the Black Hills.

Our group of 6 stopped in a few minutes before they officially opened but were let in and seated instead of waiting outside. 1 star.

Being the only customers at the time we got promp service on drinks and food orders. Not a good test of the service but.. Add 1 star.

The place was clean, comfortable and well decorated. Don't forget to experience the bathroom(s). Add 1 star

The price was inline with other meals we had in that area and others in our group seemed to be ok with their food. Add 1 star

I ordered the chicken fried steak with fries and white gravy. The fries were ok, the gravy passable, the chicken fry was horrible. Store bought frozen, kind of small and almost burnt on one side. I suggested to our waiter that they quit serving that brand or just remove it from the menu. He seemed... amused at the suggestion. ?? 0 stars

We came in at the same time as another group. They ordered, ate and left before we got our food. We had to ask for menus and ask to order. Then another big group came in 15 minutes after us and they got their food before us. The waitress rolled her eyes at us and was very rude. We had to sit 7 people at a 2-3 person table. I would not recommend this place.

We stopped in on our way home to Denver and were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant and the quality of their food and service. I had the Sirloin and my husband had the meatloaf. Highly recommend!

Got the build a brkfst and it had large portions for the price. Good quality too. Not the cheap stuff. Pretty and kind waitress too. Small dinning area feels cozy.
