Cafe that's located near the Mount Rushmore national monument. There's plenty of seating here. There's two different counters - one serves ice cream, the other serves actual food. The service was okay, not bad. Food came out on a tray, as if you're at school. The taste was pretty good, but it wasn't amazing. The biggest standout was that the room was really breezy - there were fans going on full blast that were constantly blowing away my napkins.

Not bad! Considering the location, the food was fine, although a little pricey, which is expected. The cafe offers a nice break from the sun, and also provides wonderful views of Mt. Rushmore itself, with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Normally the best food in the area is not in the park. Not so in this case. Happy I got to the park early and ate breakfast here.

When going to Mount Rushmore and you find yourself without the proper drinks or snacks, this café offers a lot of options. We went for the closing ceremony so we were there the last few hours and decided to eat dinner at the café. None of the food was something I would go back for, but the staff was extremely courteous and fast, they had a large drink selection, including local beers, Serving sizes were quite large (which was unexpected), and the facility itself was well designed and very clean. However, it did feel slightly like a cafeteria when sitting. We took our food to go and sat on the steps of the amphitheater, waiting for the show, which made a beautiful setting for our dinner.

To be honest, this cafe gets the job done and isn't too over priced. A lot of the food isn't anything special and some of the dinner options are pretty bland but that's to be expected at a place like this. It's cool that they offer beer and other drink options and the service was very friendly. Great view of Rushmore while you eat as well.

Vegetarian options: Some salad options

Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids, very kid friendly atmosphere and family oriented.

For a family of five? Ow. Burgers are totally overpriced at $15 each! However a bowl of fries (they serve them in bowls) are affordable at $3.75 and the Buffalo chili is $6.25 and excellent. The fries are good quality and excellent, with or without ketchup, and chili is fantastically seasoned ?? For desert, we all cut and shared Mount Rushmore fudge, which was $6.

Excellent bison chili and broccoli cheddar soup. The deli sandwich was loaded with turkey and all the toppings. Highly recommend dining here, reasonable prices as well! Very clean as well!

You kind of expect to pay roo much at a place like this. Ten bucks for a hotdog which came with a few fries ? was not exhorbitant . Or was rasry and the place was clean . Staff were friendly enough too .

I'm deeply confused how an earlier review gave a growing reference about how lovely the staff was then gave them 3 stars ✨. For what it is this place is great . It's not the Ritz or a Michelin star restaurant but the food is fresh and the staff are helpful .

The food was fine, we mostly stopped here to see where George Kaplan/Roger Thornhill got shot in North by Northwest. I wish they had a little plaque or something since they have remodeled and it's not easy to find.
The staff was amazing. They employ adults with intellectual disabilities and they were so amazing. They found a table for us, told us where to find the condiments, chatted with us about the weather, and even took our tray to the trash for us. Worth stopping just to chat with them all!
