We got rained out, so didn’t have a Chance to hike, but the folks that take care of the place say there is a super nice hike with a waterfall that comes off the campground, and the campsites are also very nice. Would recommend.
Grizzly Primitive Campground delivered exactly what I was looking for, an offgrid, peaceful experience. I stayed at Plot 11, which is conveniently close to the creek. The constant, soothing sound of the water combined with the natural atmosphere made it incredibly relaxing and well worth the stay. Just a heads up it's cash only, so bring exactly $26 for the night. Simple, quiet, and exactly what you'd hope for in a primitive camping spot.
Stayed here for two nights. Small campground, quiet and close to Keystone/Mt Rushmore. Vault toilets, no showers. There is a stream by our site that we stayed at. Site # 06. Camp Host were just okay... they tried charging us for our site when we had already paid. $8 a bundle of firewood.
