The food is so good and we’re very fast was in and out in 20 minutes
First time here for breakfast (or any meal, for that matter). Steak and eggs were good, hash browns were just right, and the coffee was excellent.
Wonderful food & Service
What a great stop in an historic location and beautiful setting! The staff was super friendly, the food excellent and the store stocked with interesting stuff and a nice selection of cold drinks and beer.
We had the bison burger and Indian taco for lunch and they were excellent! There was also a great selection of homemade pies for dessert, the strawberry rhubarb and mountain medley hit the spot. We will be back for another round soon!
Great place to stop and eat and shop
Great little place to go for breakfast! Employees are very friendly.
Don’t know how you can screw up scrambled eggs and hashbrowns but the eggs were like cottage cheese and the hashbrowns were still raw. Good job on the bacon though.
The Indian Taco had a nasty taste. Service was lacking. Was over charged and short changed. Bill was 29.and change. Gave 40.00 received 5 ones back . This place has gone down hill

What a wonderful place, with great staff and also the food was beyond great. Their Indian Taco and Carrot Cake was beyond great.
The food here is excellent. The sirloin was juicy and everything tasted like it was home made. It was so good that I even enjoyed the broccoli which I generally am not a fan of. My wife and I look forward to visiting this establishment again next time we're in the Black Hills.

Restaurantji Recommends
Good brunch served until 2:00 PM Friendly helpful staff. Food was very good EXCEPT the oil must be bad (frying) as my tortilla for my breakfast burritos had an off taste ( I just didn’t eat it) as well as hash browns in my husband meal.
But a convenient fun stop.

The restaurant was so cold that people were shivering and going to their cars for their coats. We've been to this place several times and it's always had temperature issues. And this is no joke, I'm sure the restaurant was less than 50 degrees. The food was good but the wait was long (something else that is consistent) and there were a lot of grim faces as they shivered and waited. I don't know, maybe this makes the food taste better. The only time the waiter smiled was when she presented the check, and then she was "our best friend", suddenly.

It takes a lot for me to get upset- but the hostess was very rude! There was no hostesses at hostess stand . We stood there for a several minutes. She finally came up and rudely mentioned there was a wait. We had not complained about the possible wait. We walked right out! I couldn’t believe we drove 35 miles to be treated so badly!
This place seems to get good reviews so maybe we were there at the wrong day/time. Everything that we ordered was very mediocre. It was edible but not very good. Indian tacos were just OK, vegetarian pasta had frozen vegetables in it (this is the first time ever in any restaurant that I experienced that. Is it really that hard to use fresh produce?), steak was so tough that my son couldn't cut it with a knife - it was inedible. We were promised that the steak would be removed from our bill but that never happened (should have paid more attention to the bill, lesson learned). The only good/tasty thing was a fruit pie. The place is busy because of the convenient location but we will rather drive a little farther and get better food elsewhere.

Not sure what all the hype is about the Indian Taco. Was quite bland and tastes similar to Taco Bell. Indian bread is nothing special. Lots of typical tourist trap garbage. No need to make a special trip there.
