A new bakery opening in Rapid is always exciting! I recently visited Rustic Nook Bakery, and while there’s clear potential, my first experience had room for improvement. The staff seemed a bit disorganized, with three employees crowded around the register — one handling drinks, another taking orders behind the pastry case, and the third at the register. It gave off a chaotic vibe that could be smoothed out with better communication. They could definitely benefit from having a small counter behind them so that they can prepare the pastries taken from the shelf instead of being almost on top of eachother when putting the pastries in the container.
I purchased four pastries for a reasonable $12. The taste was hit or miss. The croissant was small and tasted average, while the larger chocolate croissant had a pleasant flavor despite tasting like it used Hershey’s chocolate inside. The Oreo blondie was dry and overly sweet, but the raspberry shortbread was a standout — perfectly flavored and worth coming back for.
The bakery shows promise, but a few changes could elevate the experience: clearer menus, labeled pastries, and improved teamwork among the staff. I’m optimistic about their future and look forward to returning to try their cakes and other offerings!

Our wedding cake last year was delicious (September 30, 2023)and we decided to keep the top half of our cake for our first wedding anniversary this year (September 30, 2024). It was just like our wedding day! The cake was still moist and delicious so impressed with the cake! Thank You Rustic Nook Bakery!

Cute bakery but limited hours and doesn't always open at posted hours.. Pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting, cranberry oat bar were very good. Coconut macaroon was the best I've ever had! The bar and macaroon were gluten-free also. Good prices.

They were always quick to get back to me with my questions and they set everything up perfectly on the day. And they were SO reasonably priced. Such a relief for how expensive everything else was. I’m beyond impressed with these ladies! Our weekend wedding at Terry Peak would not have been the same without the amazing catering of this duo! We started with rehearsal dinner where they prepared the best steak tips I’ve ever had, the charcuterie board was beautiful and delicious, fabulous desserts too! Then came cocktail hour, which was so good! The fresh guacamole, the homemade salsa and the loaded queso was gone before I could try it! Mac and cheese was perfect for the littles and adults! Wedding meal was perfect! Carnitas were cooked to perfection, spiced just right and Birria was so tender! Sides were wonderful! Desserts were loved by all! Breakfast on Sunday was gone in no time, exactly what people needed after a night of fun! I heard many compliments from our guests how this wedding food was nothing like they had eaten before! The food was delicious! Thank you from our family! Also, you both were a delight to work with! I had a team of people helping me and they said you were incredibly friendly and helpful!
