We went during Sturgis Bike week. The picture of the cabin is one of like 6 cabins they have but is the only pictures you see. It’s the best one with flat approach and nice parking next to it. My mother is handicap and I was misled to think that is what we would be staying in. We were given a cabin that had a 45 degree incline just to get to the stairs and the parking they claimed was for us was down the hill over 100 feet away from the cabin. I talked to the current owners and they said they switched our cabin with someone else before we got there because two groups knew each other and wanted to be next to each other. Is not a bad place just very misleading. Ask questions before you book and know what your getting into. This was the last year for my family to go together to Sturgis together because of the age of my father and mother. It would’ve been nice to have a decent place to stay, which I thought I was getting when I booked this cabin. Amazing how they do not show the cabin we stayed in only the others that are on nice flat surfaces. They portray it to be very pretty.

We stayed at Trailshead Lodge during elk hunting. Owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. They let us plug in a freezer and let us use the garage for a vehicle repair. Some of our group are planning a return visit to snowmobile.

Hey! We rented an ATV for a full day and had such an amazing time! We started the morning with a simple but delicious breakfast, then hit the trails. The ATV was super fun and never gave us any trouble — 100% worth it! We took it slow, but it was still a blast. The staff was awesome (sorry I forgot the names!) and made the whole experience great. We’re definitely coming back during snow season to try the snowmobiles.

Our stay at Trailshead lodge was incredible! The cabin was great - very clean, comfortable, and well-taken care of. The family who runs the place was so kind and helpful. The location is beautiful and was very convenient for our purposes. The cinnamon rolls we had from the lodge were AMAZING. The wifi worked great as well!

Our group was staying near by on a side x side trip. Trailshead was the perfect location to fuel up and grab a bag of ice. The new owners were so welcoming! Great to visit with and get a map. We stopped in one night for the steak night. The steaks were amazing! We would highly recommend hitting it up!! When we're back in the area, we will definitely be stopping back in!

We had an above and beyond experience with the staff at Trailshead. We rented UTV’s and a storm came 2 hours earlier than forecasted which we got stuck in. When we arrived back at Trailshead, the staff ran out, grabbed my two kids and took them inside, got them all dried off and fed them hot chocolate (when they weren’t even open - it was supposed to be their day off). Can’t recommend Trailshead and the new management team enough. We’ll be back!

We stopped when we were caught in a rain storm and even though they were closed they still took us in and fed us so we decided to stay the night and slept like a baby. The food was great and the hospitality was the best, I would recommend staying with them or dropping by for the best food around!
