I’m here to give a major shout out to our server today despite our potato wedges being extremely overcooked.
She had a table next to us with a gal who was upset she had overcooked wedges, I was bummed too but I do believe it was all in the approach and overhearing the customer say “clearly I know how to cook” and then pointing to her overweight body. How condescending. I truly hope she comes here to leave her own review and reads mine. You sounded like a fool.
Two things.
If it was so bad, ask for replacements. Get over it. I just didn’t eat mine and enjoyed the food I did have that was delicious, yum.
Second, don’t belittle people. Don’t be rude. When our server offered this customer a $10 gift card for her experience the woman said “I’m never coming back” - I say good, good riddance.
This establishment has been open for close to 50 years, I’ve been coming here for almost 35 years since I was a child. Whenever I come to town, we go to Toby’s. The server did a great job handling the experience with the customer and was working her ass off. She took the belittling with grace and moved on.
Kudos to her. Today, she was appreciated, even if the broasted wedges were overcooked. 😊

Ordered 3 dinners to go. Between us, we ate 4 pcs- WAY to salty!!!!! Usually pretty good chicken so I have no idea what happened tonight.

The chicken thigh was was smaller than the wedged potatoes! Basic dinner roll & Cole slaw (OK, not runny at least) all for $9. OUTRAGEOUS price for a tiny piece of chicken & potatoes.

Had two bud lights a burger/ fries. Food was great and the atmosphere was great. Place was packed but the service was fast. Def recommend this place.

With over 300 thousand people looking at my reviews, it can be assured my reviews are based on facts and not an attempt to trash a business. It's proper to speak to a manager or owners with a problem as was attempted and was met with total bad attitude and the I don't care about it attitude. The owners have two establishments whimps and Toby's. We have dined at both for years they now have new owners, and unfortunately, this was a terrible experience for 5 of us. We waited for over an hour to get our food (wings), and it wasn't busy . Once received, orders were cooked wrong, and sides were missing. Our server had been there for one day prior, according to the owners, but she really did a good job under the circumstances. We were accused of being rude for asking for what we ordered and trying to make them aware of an issue as a customer. Great service, but terrible owners NOT a great visit ?
