The service was excellent! I'm Hispanic and I usually don't go out to eat at Mexican restaurants because I eat Mexican food at home, but let me tell you The food was so good! the guacamole is something else! I'm definitely going back I need to try everything on the menu now! don't miss out get over there and order the carnitas tacos!

This place is amazing!! The food is fresh and delicious. I was born in New Mexico and I think this is the best Mexican restaurant I've ever had. The waitress and the whole staff is super friendly and fast. They all said hello to us as we walked in. It has an open window kitchen so even they greeted us at the door. I 100% love this place and recommend it to anyone!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful meal at El Columpio. Julia was absolutely amazing helping us to find delicious food on their menu that we could eat as vegetarians. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. The entire staff was so welcoming. Our entire family highly recommends this restaurant. And, their salsa is absolutely delicious!
Vegetarian options: I was so excited to be able to eat vegetarian tamales. I had not had them in years. And, they were delicious.

My husband and I ate here twice in the last two weeks, driving thru and back thru again. The pollo picoso special, the chicken fajitas and their chips and salsa were the best that we have ever eaten and we have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants. I must also tell you the wait staff was great! Very attentive and very friendly. If you are driving thru Mitchell SD, and you want some really great flavorful Mexican food, this is a "MUST STOP."

Spending the night in Mitchell, SD on our way out to Badlands/Custer/etc. … looked at Google reviews for good restaurants, …. ate here … atmosphere is underwhelming ….food was okay….I guess …. About 1-1/2 hours after eating here, I was feeling sick. Not sure what was going on … but it kept me up all night long. Diarrhea, upset stomach … ????? Not sure I can recommend …. Service was good.

Absolutely wonderful food and drinks! The whole family enjoyed and ready to return the next time we are in town. Easily one of the best tortas I've ever had, got the tortas de milanesa, wow! The steak fajita, fish tacos and burrito were all devoured also. The Pina colado was stellar and great tasting horchata. Salsa was also excellent! You can't be disappointed here!
