Their pastas are great. My daughter had the Mac N cheese and that is homemade and delicious. The burgers are decent and the brisket sandwich was alright, a little fatty/chewy for my liking. The atmosphere of the place was great with tons of outdoor seating too. Great service. Was a great stop on our way out of Nemo.
Parking: Dirt parking lot. Plenty of room for parking. Even enough room to park our boat while we ate.
Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with plenty of options to keep the kids happy.

What a find in a quiet, rustic town!! Everyone raved about their meal....chicken fettuccine, cheeseburger and fries, Mac and cheese, chicken sandwich. Love the old depot layout and decor!

Review of The Brandin Iron, Nemo, SD
I have always enjoyed dining at The Brandin Iron in the past, often rating you highly in my reviews. However, my recent visit was quite disappointing and not up to the usual standards I've come to expect.
During my latest visit, I ordered the filet tips with a side of asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, the filet tips were overcooked and dry, making them tough and unenjoyable. The garlic mashed potatoes were served cold and in a bowl, which was an odd presentation, and did nothing to enhance the flavor or experience. The asparagus was also tough and difficult to eat.
Additionally, it was clear that the restaurant was understaffed. The service was slow and not as attentive as it has been in the past, which affected the overall dining experience for my wife and me, as well as the two other couples we were with.
On a positive note, I did notice an improvement in your beer selection, which is commendable. However, this alone was not enough to make up for the shortcomings in both the food and service.
I hope that these issues are addressed promptly, as The Brandin Iron has always been a favorite of mine, and I would love to see it return to its former quality.

Very lovely place! Enjoyed the fresh salads and burgers my self. Fries were delicious as well. Hubby says brisket sandwich was Awesome! Chicken strips too. Reasonable prices and fantastic service. Walking distance from cabins.
Vegetarian options: Salad was great, I am sure they could hold the chicken or cheese. They also had pasta dishes.

We stayed at a VRBO up the road for a few nights (Visiting from Florida). We loved this place! The food, beers, staff and atmosphere were amazing! Had some great conversations with some locals too. If you are anywhere near Nemo, you must stop in and have a bit to eat! Highly recommended!
