High Ground Cafe and Espresso Bar

Used to be great, but took out the puffles and large selection of home-brewed coffees. Now it’s just your average coffee shop with overpriced coffee and eats.

DO NOT ORDER THE BRISKET SANDWICH. Over priced, mediocre quality and they barely put any content in the sandwich. You are basically just eating bread.I used to get a different thing that they don't have in the menu no more, but every item used to have that uniqueness to it. Today it was mediocre at best. Really disappointed. I probably could've got a better sandwich from McDonald's, which is a lot to say. Too pricey for the product they give out.Won't be coming back.

Just moved to Sioux City Iowa last week. My girlfriend was recommended to come try this spot out. We came here for the first time and it was decent. The place is decorated well and have a nice atmosphere. However, the service was very lackadaisical. No greeting or excitement walking in. Didn’t ask us if we’ve ever been there before or recommend anything even after we stated aloud we had never been. We asked for an iced green tea and the employee stated. “Sorry only hot”. Is it too much trouble to make it hot and put it on ice? This place has a lot of potential but not living up to the hype. Need better customer service. I’ve coffee was alright.

Not only was I able to find several great gluten free options on their menu, but I was also pleasantly surprised at the impressive customer service. I had an issue with Door Dash and they were very gracious and helped me sort it out. The coffee was delicious and the breakfast sandwich was awesome too. I highly recommend!

It was my first time visiting and seemed like a nice place to get a couple of breakfast tacos and a hot cocoa. They were out of a few things and one of the machines wasn't working, which was disappointing. They also somehow forgot about our breakfast taco order and we had to wait quite a bit. Also they didn't mention that they have avocado on their tacos which is kind of important to me since I'm severely allergic to it.But overall it was a good experience.

I ordered a hot latte and it was tepid at best. I asked for a large and it was a 12 oz cup that cost me $10. I understand that people have to make a business make money that's highway robbery. The guy who made it was hot so that will make up for the disappointment.

The food is delicious and quite frankly the best coffee in the area. I did however wait in the drive through for about 10 minutes for just one drink and there wasn’t anyone else in line or busy inside. Bit pricey, but also worth it.

This place rules. Coffee is excellent, service is great, atmosphere is excellent. I really enjoy the roasting area being a central focal point when you're in the lobby. Very cool. Owner had always been welcoming and you can tell he cares about the quality of his business. Top notch place.

I came in to try them out because my staff loves it. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes and wasn't even acknowledged. They had two cars in the drive thru and four people inside. I walk in with nothing and walked out with nothing. I will not be going back.

I like the vibe and i like how they have several different things on their menu. Their coffee isn’t very flavorful and it tastes pretty bland.

Very slow. Took over 30 minutes to get an iced latte. Only one person was able to make coffee. Drive thru was backed up and people waiting for online orders.

The person who took our order wasn't super friendly but they did walk our drinks out to us which was nice. The coffee was yummy very dark roast and bitter. I like that they ask you if you want it your latte on the sweeter side or not. Overall I would stop again.
