Good food with good flavor. The brisket is melts in your mouth, the sliced turkey was very juicy, and the chicken had good seasoning and was juicy as well. The Lamb Chislic bites were even a tasty surprise. Service was decent, though it did start to get busy after we arrived, so it wasn't too consistent at first. There is an upstairs which I didn't explore, which I told it was more of a bar setting. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff was super friendly. This place is recommended.

Stopped on our way home from Sturgis. Outstanding BBQ! I am somewhat of a backyard BBQ guy and this restaurant is something to aspire to! We will most certainly return if we are driving through Pierre.

I'm from Texas, and I've been blessed to have some of the best BBQ known to man. Brisket is king in Texas. The brisket here was dog food at best (mine was served to dogs later that evening). My guess is that this brisket had been recycled a few times over, reheated several times to the point it was overcooked and dried out but somehow mushy. If it had been smoked, I could not tell. I was very disappointed. However, the rest of my plate was good. The corn bread was excellent, sausage was very good, potato salad and corn were good. But I can see why they placed 9th four years ago in a brisket competition, and they were lucky to get that.

Sweet Jesus! This has got to be the best bbq I’ve ever had and I’ve had LOTS of bbq around the country. The brisket bites were so tender I barely had to chew. The pork belly sandwich was unreal. The menu is filled with heavenly selections. Don’t skip this place if you are traveling thru like I was.

Restaurantji Recommends
My first time ordering here and I ordered the Big Rich and the Walleye Filet.
The meat falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. The sides were just as good, and don’t get me started on the BBQ sauce…. Whaaat??
I highly recommend Richie Z’s Brickhouse BBQ and Grill. Yum!!!

Great BBQ place, I've gotten to work with pitmaster in Arizona. So, I'm use to a heavy smoke using hickory and mesquite. But they are using pecan here and it's on a whole other level. Keep it up.

Kandi is hands down the best bar tender in town. The food and atmosphere are phenomenal! Definitely give it a visit if you're in Pierre!
