Great place to crash for a night

Eisheilige

Hutsch's Motel, Cafe & Lounge is located in Presho, South Dakota, just off the Presho exits of Interstate I-90 (Exit 225 or 226). Hutch's, a friendly, and good stop.
Family owned and run since 1967, the café offers very good food at exceptionally reasonable prices
You are welcome to stop by again here.

They hooked me up with a room and a ride downtown when my truck flipped on the interstate. They're great people with a great establishment and I enjoyed my stay more than any Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at.

Such a great spot to take a break from driving all day. Easy access on and off of I-90. There's gas station next door and pub down the road not too far either.
Prices are amazing compared to other places

I've been staying at this hotel for a decade on our annual hunting trip. It's clean, the rooms are large, and the owner is great. If you want something fancy this ain't it, but I've never had one issue here and they've been so helpful and accommodating if something comes up.

Large comfortable rooms. All walls are concrete block - makes for a quiet stay. No prairie wind or noisy neighbors. Carpet a bit long in the tooth.

Great place to have in your back pocket. Clean, quiet and like your staying at your great aunts house. I could care less about the dated rooms. They were some of the cleanest I’ve stayed in for an over night motel.

Room was dated, but it was fine. Owner was great!

Food and drinks: The restaurant next door was a Lil pricey. 45 for breakfast seemed a bit high. An the food was pretty good.

Appreciated a place to lay our heads! Everything in 150 miles of Sturgis was booked and we were so tired driving back to the Midwest for a funeral. It was clean and quiet and safe. Yes it’s dated but very appreciated they could accommodate us at a wee hour. Thank you!

On the way to Sturgis and it got late. 70-80's look inside but the fella at the counter was great and bike friendly. Definitely stay here again

Rooms: Clean ,

Food & drinks: Vending machine, next to a gas station

Great location! We checked in late. The owner was gracious and helpful even with the later hour. Do not be put off by the exterior, it doesn’t match your stay!

Rooms: Clean and quiet! We felt safe and comfortable! Would love to see updated bedding, otherwise the hotel was great.

Scott, the owner is the bomb!! Great guy, great character, funny, very nice and accommodating! He's the maintenance guy the desk guy, the bell hop, the dog walker, and the maid!!! He cleans just like his grandma taught him years ago!!He let us stay after we couldn't find anything in previous towns at 2:30am and with my Rottweiler puppy! He even took her out to potty for me ha ha! What motel owner does this, in this corrupt world!!His hospitality goes way beyond anyone could ever imagine!!His rooms are clean enough to eat off the floors, although vintage decor! His beds are so comfy!I pray I get to stay with him again in the future!! I hands down recommend this place!P.S. the little dinner next door was really great also!

This was a perfect spot to stay during our cross country journey. Like the other reviews mention, some may be put off by the exterior but what matters most to us is safety, cleanliness, and allowing dogs. Hutch's checked all our boxes and had friendly service to match. Definitely will stay again the next time we pass through!Food & drinks: Our breakfast was fantastic (highly recommend the cinnamon roll) and ready to go pretty quick so we could get back on the road.
