Went on a vacation to Montana and ended up breaking down in Presho, at this motel. The guy who runs the place was very very very kind, helpful and understanding. (The dogs he has were a plus too) We ended up staying there 2 different nights at a GREAT rate for a room! We had a wonderful and very comforting stay. The guy called up a friend and had them tow our vehicle from behind the gas station to on his property (at NO cost). We ended up getting picked up by my dad and went to Montana and came back with a part for the vehicle that broke down a few days later and the guy who runs the hotel allowed us to keep our vehicle on his property for a few days (until we got the part) and didn’t charge us. He understood that the part we got was coming from Montana. We ended up getting the part and came back and the car still didn’t work. We chatted with the guy and he is allowing us to keep our vehicle on his property (at no cost) until we can get someone to come pick it up! The guy who runs the motel, was nothing but helpful and understanding with us! If I travel again to Montana and need to stop anywhere for the night, I will DEFINITELY be stopping at his hotel again! Hands down the best experience I’ve had in a long time! Highly recommend!!!

It's an old hotel but been well cared for. Prices are competitive and they've always been pleasant to deal with. This is my second time here and I would definitely come back again

We needed a place for the night and this place fit the bill. Rooms were clean. Nothing fancy but I’d stay here again.

We had the pleasure of staying here on a cross country trip and spent too long in the Bad Lands. The motel focuses on the hunting crowd so we understand we are not really the market, however it was clean and right off the freeway. A little dated, but there was a TV in the room and clean bed with clean sheets. Plus WiFi which to be honest was a major plus because when we later stayed at the Best Western it did not have working internet. Super quiet and the shower pressure will make you feel the cleanest you've ever felt. The proprietor was awesome and the little diner next door is like the ones I remember from childhood. The entire experience made me nostalgic of road trips from the 70's and 80's.

En route Seattle to Minneapolis we got stuck in a blizzard and Hutch’s was the only place with a room for miles. Easy check in, nice dudes, hilarious dog owner postings. Would stay again. While Presho is small it’s a place with a lot of heart.

Great place to crash for a night

Hutsch's Motel, Cafe & Lounge is located in Presho, South Dakota, just off the Presho exits of Interstate I-90 (Exit 225 or 226). Hutch's, a friendly, and good stop.
Family owned and run since 1967, the café offers very good food at exceptionally reasonable prices

They hooked me up with a room and a ride downtown when my truck flipped on the interstate. They're great people with a great establishment and I enjoyed my stay more than any Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at.

Such a great spot to take a break from driving all day. Easy access on and off of I-90. There's gas station next door and pub down the road not too far either.

I've been staying at this hotel for a decade on our annual hunting trip. It's clean, the rooms are large, and the owner is great. If you want something fancy this ain't it, but I've never had one issue here and they've been so helpful and accommodating if something comes up.

Large comfortable rooms. All walls are concrete block - makes for a quiet stay. No prairie wind or noisy neighbors. Carpet a bit long in the tooth.
