DJ Cory G was playing bad rap music some people came in, and then they left. When you went to the bar to order your drinks in the lower level, they had to go to the upper level and then bring you your drink this makes no sense. We came here a couple of weeks ago when they had a live band the place was hoppin', it was a great time had by all. This place is definitely a hit and miss.

We were part of a group of about 20 people who went last Saturday for a get together. The upper bar was great and both servers were excellent. Website said live music every weekend which is why the place was chosen. At 9 they opened the lower bar, which was fine as we wanted more room. Shortly after they closed the upper bar. Again, not a big deal. Same servers came downstairs, and did great. There was no music. Ok, um well, I guess we will drink and mingle. 10:45 they call last call… Really? You had 25 people in the bar and more coming in. The signs on the door say 1am. The website says 1am. We get booted at 11 and while we were standing outside trying to figure out where to go next at least 5 more people walked up and were disappointed when told they closed. Rapid City businesses really need to learn to stick to their schedules. Not sure we will be back.

We stayed at The Rushmore Inn and Suites on May 18th and 19th. Both nights we came here for dinner.
On the 18th there was a gal who waited on us. She was awesome and very friendly. It wasn’t super busy when we were there, just very relaxed and enjoyable. The food was delicious.
We enjoyed our food so much we came back and it was a lot busier. There was only one guy working. He was doing the bartending, taking food orders, bringing food, bussing tables… he was doing it all. He hustled and had a great attitude the whole time and we didn’t feel like we waiting a long time for anything either.
There were 4 of us and a 5th that stayed in the room that we were ordering for. He took our orders by memory and got everything correct. The food was even better than the night before. We were very impressed with him and the amazing job he did. I’ve seen more servers in a restaurant with less guests than he had on the 19th that weren’t even close to as efficient as this guy was and they had terrible attitudes. Give him a raise… he deserves it because he is exceptional at his job.

One of the worst places to be at. There security guard aren't protective over you unless if your a normal person that gose there ever week and spends your money, he's extremely disrespectful to you and to the owner of the bar. He will try to talk over you and he will disrespect you you the owner of the bar seems very weak minded he's not a very good bar owner he will let people walk all over you and him please save your money and go else where I had an extremely bad experience here
I like this place alright. I wish there was a calendar about what is going on now that summer is over. I like watching live music. Some genres aren't very good to dance to. Karaoke is hit and miss as usual.
Parking: Street parking is alright, usually open spots within the block. Unsure if hotel parking is permitted unless staying there. I did have my car towed from there years ago deceitfully.

Definitely one of the better hotel bars I have experienced. Nice drink selection, great service and very low prices (is not gauging like most hotels do - as a result does a great business with a nice mix of locals and out of town guests) very large bar with a large out door patio. Great for after work drink and at night place gets busy with great music. Perhaps the best place in downtown Rapid City to hang up
