I visited South Dakota for the first time last week (4/4-7/24). I got in Thursday night and left early morning Sunday. I had Armadillos on Friday and liked it so much that I went back Saturday as well. Do I feel bad having ice cream two days in a row? Nopity Nope. I even went out in the rain for it on Saturday. Very quick service from the nice young adults working there! A clean an welcoming environment. It looked like a great place to meet a friend, or for a kid to celebrate a birthday. Maybe even have a first date? Loved it! South Dakota is a beautiful state. I hope to visit again and when I do, I will be sure to stop by Armadillos again!

Yum-O! How fun to make sundaes and malts with soft serve ice cream!! Great atmosphere and a fun place to go for a treat! The only reason they didn't get a five star is the hot fudge was very sparse, and my friend wanted to order a side of hot fudge to go with her shake, and they said they can't sell just that.

WHAT A WONDERFUL SMALL TOWN FEEL.When you show up to a ice cream shop in the middle of March and the line is half way down the block, you know it's going to be good.When we finally arrived at the window we were welcomed with a bright smile and a hello.My wife ordered the Lauren's landslide Sunday (chocolate/vanilla twist ice-cream, chocolate dip, carmel, and coookie dough) this Sunday definitely packed the topping and flavor for only $6 the best part had to be the love and passion they put into your order.I ordered the sweet megs (chocolate ice-cream, peanut butter dip, hot fudge, and marshmallow sauce) such a wonderfully decadent treat, you won't leave without your sweet tooth satisfied. Definitely worth the wait in line, but if it's that busy it must be.

I ordered the Auntie Ds which is caramel, pretzel, and almond but I didn't taste any pretzel and barely any caramel.Everyone else I came with loved what they ordered and the place was packed midday on Thursday in the winter so I guess they just messed mine up on accident?

Kids got the ice creams but they forgot the 1 malt and a sherbet. Grasshopper malt had no flavor and did not look like a grasshopper. Went back up and the cashier lied to her manager saying she didn’t take my order and doesn’t remember. Finally got the other items after waiting for 10 mins. But they still gave the wrong dish. No sherbet just ice cream.

This place is great- we go here multiple times a summer. The only thing I would change would be putting Strawberry Butter on the main menu. It is by far the best flavor and I’m always disappointed when it’s not the flavor of the day.Wheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible

Soft serve ice cream with a variety of toppings. Outdoor ordering. Outdoor seating. Indoor seating with booths. No TV's which is nice for visiting. Restrooms inside.

Everyone enjoyed what they got. The toddler size and small cone were definitely too big for kids. I like that they have options such as Italian ice and slushes.

Very good soft serve ice cream!! On the edge of downtown Rapid City. If you want some ice cream (soft serve style) this is definitely a must!
