The host of our AirBnb recommended this restaurant. She highlighted their soup and bread specials as well as the PIE. If I lived in the area, I would also take advantage of the ‘to go’ items kept in the cooler of the lobby.

I am from Santa Fe, New Mexico. I had the Ramblin Cajun Burger. It was delicious? I thought it was well cooked. Our Server Lexi was very friendly and super nice. My mom had the 7 Bloody Mary and she enjoyed it.

Popped in for a late breakfast. I ordered the Ozzy. Randi our server was very sweet and attentive. Awesome local place to eat.

We just had food to go from here but they have a great selection of tasty goods. We tried some of the lovely caramel rolls - ask about these if they are not on display. The server helpfully packaged up our food for a picnic.

Colonial House: We heard this was one of the best breakfast places in town, so we gave it a shot. It was a great breakfast with quick and friendly service! Wendy was our server and helped us with what to decide on and was very attentive. Highly recommended!

My favorite place for breakfast in Rapid City. The Buffalo sausage will keep you coming back and the pancakes are as big as the moon. Friendly staff.

The Food and the Service were very good. We had nachos as an appetizer. Strong recommendation. I had deep fried steak tips, sweet potatoes fries and steamed broccoli. Very good. My wife had chicken fried steak. She wasn't real happy as it was gristly.

We stopped at this restaurant for breakfast this morning on our way to Wind Cave and it was one of the best omelette breakfasts we’ve ever had. As we came back through tonight we decided to try it for dinner. Breakfast we would rate a five but dinner we would rate a three. We both had a patty melt and a salad plus an appetizer of onion rings. All of it was OK, but nothing was outstanding like the breakfast this morning. The onion rings were fried in old oil. You could tell because of the dark color of the rings. We averaged out the five in the four to give it a 4 overall.

Great service! Great food! Great portions for what you pay! We had breakfast! My Australian friend says try the pancakes with vanilla ice cream and syrup! It was amazing!

We had a wonderful experience at Colonial House tonight! It was my daughter's 3rd birthday and our waitress (Stacey, I think) made her feel like a superstar. The food was perfect and so was the service. Thank you!

We loved everything about this restaurant. Good menu selections, good food, good value, good service. convenient location. I think that says it all, but I will keep typing because there is a minimum number of characters required to post. And I will keep typing, and I will keep typing

Great burgers, fries and fried shrimp. Cheese curds we’re good - we just prefer a lighter batter. Hummus was too peppery and missing the traditional sesame flavor. Excellent asparagus and chicken noodle soup. However, the star of dinner was the strawberry pie - my husband gushed that it was the best he’s ever eaten!

Hubby And I had French dip. It's is a clean restaurant! Saw someone cleaning restrooms and wiping down chairs & tables! Service was good. Food came hot. Refills on drinks. Recommend stopping for a quick meal with variety. Compare pit to IHOP or Big Boy's.

Food was not great. The adult grilled cheese was dry and flavorless. The patty melt was also lacking some flavor.
