My wife and I went there for a impromptu date night. It was the 3rd time I have had the prime rib and it is always delicious!!! The atmosphere is very nice and the service is always exceptional!!!


This is definitely a meat-forward restaurant with underwhelming vegetarian options the cauliflower steak was unevenly seasoned, and the dish just felt like trendy vegetarian food put on a plate untransformed. If the ingredients were farm fresh I would appreciate a simple dish like but they clearly weren't. Given that rapid city is between two very different environments it would've been nice to see that get taken advantage of somewhere on the menu. With the space they have they've done a wonderful job with the atmosphere and our server was very warm, friendly, and accommodating. The manager seemed nice to the staff but not very friendly. The bruschetta was good but some of the bread was approaching rock-hard. The soups tasted great but the french onion soup had an aggressive amount of cheese. The sea bass was enjoyable but the paired risotto was mild in flavor and crunchy. Risotto is one of my favorite dishes that I've made hundreds of times so this was very disappointing.


Our server was amazing. Portions were large, took home leftovers. Steaks were cooked to perfection. My favorite was the truffle fries, they were fabulous . It was a great evening, we will be back. Thank you


Great steakhouse and the wait staff is very attentive. The night we visited we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, easy to have a conversation. Wine pricing is very reasonable and a quality selection. We enjoyed the butterscotch pot de creme dessert so much we returned another night to enjoy it again! 😋 highly recommend this place.

We ate dinner here two evenings because we liked it so much! My husband had the ribeye steak both evenings because it was so well prepared and delicious. The rolls that are served are wonderful and worth every calorie. Host/ manager is very cordial and polite. Our servers were very attentive and polite.

Sam, our server was great. Food took a while but we were not in a hurry. Medium steak was very rare and medium salmon was dry and over cooked. Salmon Oscar had about 5 small flakes of crab meat. Still a good meal but mildly disappointing.

What used to be the place to go in town has not held up to expectations. Reservations were supposed to be at 7:15 we weren’t seated until 735. Our waiter did the best he could yet wasn’t extremely communicative. Food did not come out till 915. Pork chop was undercooked as well as the prime rib. I have had good experiences at this restaurant and was severely disappointed that my experience for my birthday. Manager said he wasn’t gonna make excuses yet he did. They did comp our meal and we took it to go. Prices are severely inflated. Over the last couple years we’ve been eating at home mostly. Don’t think I will be going back to this establishment


We were celebrating my birthday and chose delmonicos for our special occasion. Service was outstanding and our filets were so tender and flavorful. However, the birthday chocolate dessert wasn’t up to par in our opinion. Other than that, it was a wonderful dinner.

My wife and I arrived at 5PM opening time. We both ordered the onion soup. My wife thought the soup was good. I have had better. I was looking forward to a ribeye steak. I asked the waitress if it was prime or choice and was told choice. I did not want to be disappointed so I ordered the double pork chop instead, which I ordered medium. My wife ordered the roasted half chicken. When the food finally arrived, the chicken and vegetables were cold so she sent it back. My pork chop was hot but was well done. It was tasty so I decided to keep it. My mashed potatoes were cold and I did send it back with the chicken dish. Again, when my wife's food arrived, it was still not hot but luke warm.. The skin on the chicken was not crispy. As the pork chop was overcooked, by the end of the meal, it was so dry I could not eat it. The meal from start to finish took over 2 hours. Way too long. For an upscale steak house this meal was definitely not worth the price paid.


The flourless chocolate torte was a small cake, not a slice of a torte. It was terrible - dry and we could taste the sugar grains. It was advertised as being served with berries (plural), we only got 1 blackberry.


My brother & I had a long awaited bucket list trip to SD. Based in Rapid City, we found Delmonico on several lists as best in town since we're foodie people. So we dined there Saturday night, 10/15/2022. It was OK, but not worth the $$$ and we wouldn't plan to go back, at least for an expense meal. Server was nice but kept getting distracted, which means we didn't always see her. Too over 20 minutes for the Cheese Plate to be delivered. (We had to ask another server we found). Salad was decent. Also had the Delmonico - bone-in ribeye for 2 at $105. Once again was OK but not rememberable. Just not a ton of flavor for a piece of meat like that. We got full but I can't say I really enjoyed the experience. For the 2 of us we spent over $300 with wine. Staffing was not an issue as there were plenty of employees milling about - just not our server at times. In hindsight, would not go here again & would not recommend as a great place. We found a couple of other places in Rapid City that were far better for less coin.

Atmosphere was great, the food was so tasty, and Drew took really good care of us. Great customer service and quality eats. It was our last meal on our vacation, and it definitely gave our trip a nice finish. Highly recommend!


Superb setting and amazing food. The Kona crusted ribeye was an incredible experience in flavor and tenderness, as was the fillet "Oscar-style.' A wonderful place to celebrate an anniversary.
