Best Mexican Food in the Black Hills. Absolutely my regular go to for home cooked comfort food. Staff is friendly, professional and welcoming. Place is clean, comfortable and inviting. Food is fantastic and served quickly. Must go for best Mexican food in the black hills.

Passing through Rapid City. Found this little gem by browsing restaurants. The reviews are legit. Very small dining room so we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. No bar area so we waited in the foyer. Once seated things happened very quickly. Got drinks, ordered food, an 10 minutes later, after chowing 2 baskets of chips and salsa, our food arrived. Very yasty, very authentic. This place knows how to rock 'n roll. Hostess took pur drink order and the waitress delivered them. Waitress took our order and the bus boy delivered it. This was teamwork at it's finest. Would definitely go back.

In the area camping and wanted Mexican food. After reading reviews of several restaurants in the area, we decided on El Sombrero. Cute little place, clean, nicely decorated. We were seated quickly and the waitress was to the table quickly to take our drink order. The fresh chips and salsa she brought out were excellent. Warm chips and the salsa had just the right amount of heat. My husband ordered the Chimichanga with ground beef and I ordered the Fajitas Supremas. Food was prepared quickly and the portions were generous. Husband truly enjoyed his Chimichanga and was disappointed he could not finish the rice and beans that come with the entree. My fajitas were excellent! The combination of the chicken, beef, shrimp and veggies was perfect! Cooked to perfection and came out sizzling. Generous portions-I had plenty to take back to our camper to enjoy again the next day! We were very pleased with the meal and the service! We will definitely return on our next South Dakota trip!

Parking: Parking is available in both front and in back of the restaurant. Plenty of room for my husbands oversized truck.

Food was amazing, prices were very reasonable, and our waiter was on point. Great experience. Next time we come through this area again i will be stopping back.

Dietary restrictions: My wife has a gluten allergy and our waiter was very knowledgeable about what she could eat and what she needed to avoid. This was amazing for both of us because at many other places people look at us like a deer in headlights when we ask about gluten free options.

Amazing authentic Mexican food! We will definitely be back! The tamales and enchilada and chimichanga we ordered was exactly what we were looking for! The salsa is really good too!

The food was outstanding 👌. There was only a minor. We got quicker service at Ma Cualli even though it was packed. We love this place anyway. Please keep impressing us!
