Very clean, nice menu, food perfectly prepared served hot. Staff very friendly, prices reasonable, nice portions. The coffee was very good. It's a small, homey diner with nice pies and pastries. Worth the stop.

I have been craving a good mom & pop shop where you can get a burger and fries or some good breakfast food since I moved here a year ago. My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch today... Unfortunately we were those customers that show up a half hour before you close, but we weren't treated like that at all! Everyone was so kind and the food was absolutely great! We will be coming back. Even the old country music playing was just nostalgic for me ♥️ Felt like a hometown diner that made this small-town girl and boyfriend both very happy campers! Thank you!

Traveling we like to stop at local restaurants to eat not chain run restaurants. This place was clean great service and food. I had the redneck hashbrowns with 2eggs , my partner had omelette. Food was very good and service was friendly, price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this little gem, they are open for breakfast and lunch.

Eggs overdone, but everything else was okay. A little pricey. A cup of oatmeal was over $5. Clean, friendly, kept our drinks filled.
Much much better than morningside better atmosphere for sure

It was fine. I had 2 eggs, basted B,H,E muffin and coffee plus tip for less than $20. The whole meal was served hot, and cooked just the way I like it. The staff was friendly and attentive.
Yes, maybe I could have dined for less, but price was not the primary thought. I've dined at the Fairmont on Florman and never had an issue. This is much closer to where I live.
Fantastic place! Hometown feel with great service and phenomenal food!! Try the Hot Beef Sandwich! Gravy was so good I scrapped the plate clean! Hubby had a bacon cheeseburger and said it was juicy & delicious!
NEVER AGAIN! This place was awful. Extremely overpriced and the food was not good. Zero flavor and the food was barely warm. I cannot believe we paid $50 with a tip for this garbage. At least my food was somewhat edible, my husband's potatoes were undercooked with very little seasoning and the omelette was overcooked and tasted like oil.. I seriously cannot believe the price for the quality.
Edit: After the long wait. We immediately asked for to-go boxes and our check when our food was served. Had we tried the food before we left(which we should have), we would have politely sent our food back and paid for our coffee!

I at first thought the biscuit in my biscuits and gravy was a hamburger bun. It was not the right texture.
Hash browns were good but cold. Our food came out quickly but was not super hot . Eggs were really greasy.
Server was friendly and responsive.
Prices were high. I'm visiting from Sioux Falls and eat out for lots of my meals and for what was offered the prices were high. $9.99 for a kids meal is $5-10 higher than it would be anywhere in SF. I know cost of living and prices are higher out here in Rapid than they are at home but I also visit here a lot and I don't think I've ever seen that kind of pricing on a kid's meal.

Great atmosphere especially under pressure. The owners are amazing people who have overcome adversity and created something beautiful ?.

First off that guy Jon tee hasn’t a clue what he is talking about. Just a picky ungrateful miserable person if you ask me! I’ve been here before and it was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. For sure beats ihop. The meals are big and not as pricey as Karen Jon seems to think. If you make a decent living or even work at McDonald’s you shouldn’t have a problem sitting down with your family to eat here. I’m from Oklahoma and it’s pretty flat and boring there. I’ll never forget eating at this place cause it was bomb! They have the best omelettes in all of South Dakota. I love their coffee and the home feel atmosphere. Feels like walking into a dinner in a small western town where no one knows you but you’re always welcome. Great place! Karen’s might want to look elsewhere.

Delicious meals! Great service! Family friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend ❤
They even charge a 4% upcharge on their own gift cards. Food was average at best. Used to be our go to for breakfast but no more. I think I threw the gift card with the remaining balance away because of the upcharge and the employee was indifferent to me questioning the upcharge on their own gift card.
