Prioritised my research ahead of my instincts (to walk away from a completely empty restaurant). But we fancied brisket and reviews made me think it’d be an easy win. So we both ordered it. It was drier than Gandhi’s flip flop sadly. My wife (maybe a little fussy at times) had just 3 bites of it and a few of the fries. I took the leftover meat but it’ll probably go in the bin sadly. Wish I had a dog. I ordered the pork belly I also was super tasty and juicy and the fries decent. Mac & (plastic) cheese was pretty rank sadly.
Biggest shock and what left the worst (metaphorical) taste in my mouth was as we’re leaving… I took our plates to the counter like a good boy rather than leave them at the table. Only to be told where the bin was! Not even joking. Well, it saved me the $5 tip I was about to leave I guess. The chap who served me was friendly enough I hate to see staff chillin’ on their phone, especially when I offer up good manors and clean up my table. Blown away I was told to go put it in the bin back where I came from. If I lived here I would go back for a 2nd go as the reviews which made me choose this spot can’t all be wrong. Should have trusted my golden rule of not being the only diners in a restaurant.

Meatloaf was refrigerator cold & brisket was really dry. Mac n cheese was cold. Cowboy beans tasted like canned beans. Place was clean & so was the bathroom. Got the 2 meat platter with 2 sides & felt bad for not stopping at the bbq food truck I passed in the way there.

I had the pulled pork sandwich with a side of fried okra. The pulled pork itself didn't have much flavor at all.. and the picture on your website shows the sandwich as coming with coleslaw and pickles on it. Sadly it was just meat.. (Good thing there was bbq sauce!) The bun was Shockingly Thick and Heavy!! (So if you like a thick heavy bread you are gonna Love this place!!) I prefer a lighter bun.. I wouldn't order a pulled pork sandwich again.. 😕 nothing with a bun.. nothing with the pulled pork. The fried okra was Good! 👍 The only thing is I wish they wouldn't have put my hot fried okra in a lidded plastic container.. it turns soggy. BUT it surprisingly was still Good!! I imagine it's Great when it's fresh n crispy!!
My recommendations: 1. Whoever does the photos for your website needs to put Realistic photos of Your food and how it comes on there!! That's what the public Expects.. 2. Find a Better recipe for pulled pork and buns.. 3. Don't put food that's served "crispy" (aka: fried) into lidded plastic containers.
Good Luck!! I truly mean that because bbq restaurants struggle to survive around here.. so you've got to step it up n keep people coming back!!

Just not that good. I understand BBQ can be subjective, but this place just isn’t very good. We’ve been meaning to try it for a while and finally got in for dinner a few weeks ago. The most positive thing I could say is that the employees were friendly and helpful. They answered questions and were really pleasant.
However, a good service did not make up for the lack of flavor in the food. We try to variety of meats and sides and everything was just kind of OK. I was really excited about the greens, but they were lacking flavor and I would not order them again. I would say the best thing I had here was the mac & cheese, which had a nice smoked flavor to it. Unfortunately, none of the meat was very good. Everything was just a little bland, the turkey was dried out, nothing had much smoked flavor on it. Sometimes with barbecue, you can make up for some of those problems with the barbecue sauce. They had lots of options For sauce, but none of them were very good either.
Well, it’s nice to see another option in downtown Rapid, we were pretty disappointed in this place and don’t think we’ll be back.

Service wasn’t great. Something was wrong with the register and instead of giving us our food and then fixing it they decided to take their time trying to fix the problem and then dish out our food.

Ordered family meal and brisket sandwiches to go and was still hot and juicy when we got it home like we were served in the restaurant food was delicious top tier very clean restaurant super nice staff and they had it ready to go astonishingly fast will come here every time I come to rapid sorry for photo most of it was eaten by the time I thought I had to leave a review because I never do.

Great food and service! the homemade buns were amazing!
Service was great, in and out quick. Food was average. Brisket was not bad but deffinatly not "I need more right now" brisket. Brussel sprout slaw is a huge miss. Banana pudding wasn't bad, but I wouldn't get it again.

Wow, the Mac and cheese is some of the best I have ever had. The mashed potatoes were delicious and the ribs and brisket fell off the bone. The guy helping me gave me some of the Texas coffee BBQ sauce and now I gotta find where to get it. Would definitely come back!
