My boys and I came to rapid on vacation and decided we wanted bbq, so we tried holy sm(oaks), we decided it is worthy of a 10 star review. We had the family platter for 4, the 3 of us couldn't eat it all. It was all very good. Josh the waiter was very polite, didn't say much tho. Im sure he will become more comfortable as he gets older. I would highly reccomend this bbq spot.

Food, brisket being our primary meat, was exceptionally good. Sides were all delicious and homemade! Not a lot of frills, but great food and service from a family owned operation. I would definitely look to them for a catered event also!

Stopped in by chance and the husband and wife that own it were super awesome and the food was amazing too. My wife and I not only got food to eat but even got some to go. The brisket is fantastic and their sauces are great.

Whenever I travel, I get the 3 meat plate wherever I go. I got the brisket, sausage, ribs, potato salad, and brussel sprout slaw. Everything was good. The sausage was the best. The brisket was really nice. Ribs were okay. They were a little tough and chewy. Kind of like Jerry.
The issue I have is they don't give enough meat. I paid $2 extra to have brisket and got 1 slices. I got 3 ribs off the end. One was inedible. This is the first time I have had a 3 meat platter and didn't have enough meat. My friend who was with me was shocked by how little meat he got. This place is not cheap either.
I have eaten at many BBQ places across the country. The food here is pretty good, but you don't get your money's worth. Not enough meat.

Cut back a bit on pepper, that was the main taste. Try to get more smoke. But was very good.
I am from Memphis area, this is the best bbq I've had outside of home. John has made gluten free BBQ dining amazing. He crafted his GF sauces from scratch. If I lived in Rapid, I'd eat here every day the doors are open. Everything is made fresh, with love and caring and it shows! John you are a BBQ Rockstar.

Amazing food from a hole-in-the-wall restaurant ran by a passionate owner who serves awesome, simple food that speaks for itself. Brisket, pork belly, and beef cheek were on point with a battery of different sauces to compliment their flavors and flavorful sides. Best part is that the food is all made from scratch down to the beef tallow used to fry the potatoes and okra. 10/10 would stop by again when we're in the area.

The food wasnt perfect, SUPER dry- the fries were juicer than the meat or sandwiches, the sauce that came with it wasnt good- a honey mustard taste. The macaroni and cheese smelled weird, kinda like a foot; i honestly wished it was going to be a great meal. Just super disappointed but by far worst experience in BBQ; the ribs were super dry, like beef jerky and hard. Ended up having to add my own BBQ sauce to add some flavor and moisture to it. Idk, maybe it was just end of the day product that we were sold- most likely wont try this place again in near future. Ordered Brisket Sandwich, Pulled Pork sandwiches, ribs, fries, mac&cheese; the best part of the meal were the fries. 😬
