We loved our stay at Horse Creek. It was a great location to visit Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore and the Badlands. We loved our RV site with the creek running behind it. On site, there was also a gate that opened to the National Forest for walking, hiking, ATving etc. The horses added such a beauty to an already beautiful area. Garrett was kind and professional. We would definitely stay again if we visited the area again.

We loved our stay here. Garret was very accommodating. We arrived earlier than planned and he helped us get into our spots. We were camping with family and Garret suggested one of us pull in forward for the campers to face each other. They are centrally located for many activities in the area. We even explored in the forest behind the campground. Then on checkout day it was pouring rain! He told us to enjoy our morning and checkout in the afternoon when the rain is supposed to stop.
We would love to stay here again if in the area.

HCR was perfect and exactly as advertised. We got a camper spot right on the creek and it was nice to hear while drinking coffee in the mornings. Garret was very accommodating and polite, and when we come back this direction we will check his place for availability first!

We stayed in cabin number three and it was perfect for us. Horse Creek Resort is in a great, central location to access everything in the Black Hills. I enjoyed a great hike into the forrest starting from the southeast corner of the property. The property is quiet and very clean. Very happy with our stay.

We took a short (1 week), close to last minute, camping trip into the Black Hills and found Horse Creek Resort. We took a chance, based on reviews and location, and we are VERY happy we did! From the minute we arrived, until the day we left (after two impromptu extensions, at our request), we felt at home and completely relaxed! Garrett was amazing with his communication and placing us in a beautiful spot, right along the creek...Relaxing at night and awakening in the morning to the sound of the creek was truly nothing less than perfect! Our spot was clean, level, and very well maintained! I can very highly recommend Horse Creek Resort whenever you are in the area...Very satisfied, thanks again!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience having our wedding at Horse Creek Resort. We had lots of family come in from out of town renting most of the cabins and everyone loved the. Some of us were in RVs and we found the sites were excellent with full hookups and ample space between the sites. There are also a few hiking trails nearby behind the tent camping area. Garrett and his staff were wonderful to work with and fully accommodated our party of over 70 guests. Their attention to detail made it truly a memorable weekend. For the reception we rented cabin 12 with the long front porch and a nice grassy area where we set up 2 large tents, which worked out perfectly for all our guests. The cabin also had ample power and outlets for tent lighting, food preparation and to keep food warm on the serving lines. The fire pit was a great hit each night we were there for story telling, roasting marshmallows and make making s’mores.
The onsite Salon and Spa was a wonderful place for all the bridal party beauty preparations and activities. Lisa and her staff provided wonderful hospitality and were enthusiastic to make the entire weekend special.

We stayed in the log cabin. It was spacious and comfortable. There was a fire pit at the cabin that we used almost every night. The resort is close to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Lots of activities in the area; Pactola Lake and riding ATVs. We had a great time! The hospitality offered by Garret and Matt was wonderful. Thank you.
