$18 for pancakes and coffee is way over-priced. Didn't even include a side.
My son didn't get offered refill on his soda.
Will not be returning

OVERPRICED AND UNDERWHELMING
I recently visited the Rapid City IHOP and left feeling frustrated and ripped off. The prices were shockingly high for what can only be described as mediocre food and subpar service. Here’s a breakdown of our experience:
A stack of four average pancakes cost $13 – far too expensive for such basic quality.
Coffee was priced at $5, which felt steep for what tasted like gas station coffee.
Fountain drinks were also $5 each, and to make matters worse, there were zero offers for refills, which is practically unheard of at similar establishments.
A plate of four chicken strips with a waffle set us back $16, and neither the portion nor the quality justified the price.
The food was, at best, mid-tier, yet the prices suggested premium quality/large quantity that simply wasn’t delivered. This IHOP feels like a franchised cash grab, prioritizing profit over customer satisfaction. We were thoroughly disappointed and won’t be returning.
I strongly recommend saving your money and supporting a locally owned restaurant in Rapid City instead. You’ll likely get better food, better service, and better value. Skip this overpriced, underwhelming IHOP

It was ok for almost $50 for 2 people ordering 2 menu items. Then we didn't get any real eggs. They were out and didn't tell the staff. So we got jail house scrambled eggs.. no thank you. Our waitress was awesome 💯

Service: We had a group of nine people and were originally seated at two separate tables. We asked our waitress if we could move to allow us to be seated together. Shorty after moving, another waitress rudely commented how we stole her table.
Food: After waiting nearly an hour, our food was brought out. All of our groups breakfast came out cold to the touch. We mentioned this to our waitress, which she replied I dont know what you want me to do. She then offered to re-heat the meals or have the meal removed from our bill.
Value: It's not worth it. After having the cold meals removed from my bill, we had two kids meals and their drinks remaining for a total of $32. How can a business justify charging that for two juices and a total of 10 mini pancakes? Our bill was only for four of the nine in the group.
Goes without saying I left there dissatisfied and hungry. Due to our experience, we will not return to this IHOP or recommend it to anyone looking for a place for breakfast.

Began our dining experience with a short wait, as there was multiple people ahead of us. We were then sat and watched multiple servers walk past us. While we were waiting to even be greeted, we overheard loud, angry conversations happening between servers and the cooks. We were not even GREETED until 10-15 minutes after being seated. We also had to flag down the host to even get our server to come to our table. By the time we were greeted, we were already ready to order, however, our server came to our table quickly asked what we wanted to drink then left without even seeing if we were ready to order. Our server then came back to tell us they were out of the cold brew we ordered. Instead of waiting to see if we wanted something else, our server walked quickly away AGAIN. When our server finally returned to take our order, it had been 20-30 minutes since we had been sat down. Our food came out and it was average. We were not checked in on and continued to hear yelling and arguing happening between servers and cooks and guests. Overall was not a great experience. I would be surprised if we returned.

Came in with a couple of buddies. One of my buddy’s girlfriend ordered an ice coffee thing. She tried it and said it had a chemical taste to me so me and my buddy tried it and it did have a chemical taste. When we asked the server for a new one, she made a huge deal about it and started asking other tables what they thought about it. And then acted like my buddy’s girlfriend wasn’t going to get a new one or something else. After that the server was constantly being negative and rude to our table. So when it came to paying the bill I didn’t leave a tip cause I felt like the service was really bad. The server saw me not leave a tip and said “I’ll remember your face”. I not sure what she meant by that. But the food was pretty good tho

So my husband, a friend, and I went to dinner last night(just before 8pm) and we waited, and waited, and waited to be seated. I looked around the dining room to see if I could make eye contact with an employee but there was no one around. There were 3 tables sat eating but no one helping them.
We finally are seated and given our menus and the server disappears again for awhile. Finally comes back and takes our order and vanishes again. 2 tables leave and we're the only people other than a woman sitting a couple of aisles over. We get the food and my friend ordered strawberry waffles with her meal and got regular waffles, my husband had asked(when ordering) if he could have some strawberry syrup for the pancakes and didn't get those. Then there's the gravy on the chicken fried steaks ordered by my husband and I. It covered maybe 1/4-1/3 of the steak. I asked if we could get some more gravy and he said sure then went and sat down with the lone woman. I overheard them talking about their Valentine's Day plans so apparently it was his significant other. He sat there the entire time we ate. I finished everything on my meal except the chicken fried steak and my husband and friend finished their entire meal before he came back, saw my steak and said whoops and came back with gravy. I just asked for a leftover box at this point to take that home to eat since we were all done.
I should also mention that all around us were tables that had crumbs, dishes, and messes on them uncleaned. At least 5 visible tables and booths from our vantage point.
We paid the check and getting ready to leave my husband went to use the restroom. Our server(male) was also in there and when we got into the vehicle my husband informed me that our server did NOT wash his hands after using the restroom, the restroom was pretty dirty all over, and the server was marking off that things were done on the back of the door when nothing was done, at least by him. We were disgusted at this fact and wondered about the drinks he made(caramel apple hot cocoa and caramel apple lemonade) if there was anything that was touched by him since he doesn't wash his hands after using the restroom.
The only redeeming factor was the food. The food was actually warm and quite delicious. I could see into the kitchen from our table and saw there was only one cook back there making everything and he did a damn good job of it. Props to him and shame on our server who would rather sit and chat with his girlfriend/wife instead of cleaning tables, the bathroom, or his hands. Let alone listening to the diners at his table, bringing them their correct order, or what they ask for. My friend is so put off by this visit she doesn't ever want to even dine at IHOP again.

Came in for the advertise special on TV and was told after I sat down that they were not doing that advertise special they had decided not to follow it. I did see another special on the side for a omelette with ham and cheese for $7 she then told me that was only Monday through Friday I ended up ordering the ham and cheese omelette and found out when I got my bill it was $16.99 which was basically $9 more than what they had on the weekdays I don't know do eggs cost $9 more on weekends. Also was brought upon a coffee out that tasted like it was 6 hours old very nasty very bitter and barely lukewarm when I mentioned it to the server she rolled her eyes and took it back I think all she did was add more coffee from another pot into it that was also 6 hours old because it still tasted nasty. I got the omelette it looked like something you would serve to a 5-year-old kid it was so small. All I could hear from the back of the restaurant with servers complaining and talking with dirty language in their mouth. I will never return to this IHOP what's the worst service I've ever gotten. I've never left the restaurant the last 25 years without tipping and this time I almost did.

Orders running 20 minutes late or more, absolutely nobody seems to ever be here, it's always a ghost town. Don't know how or why this place is even still operating it's one of the most unclean restaurants in town.
Depends who's working. Sometimes pickups are blazing fast, sometimes everyone in the restaurant runs and hides and you have to walk up into the kitchen to get service
