We drive our camper van cross-country between Montana and North Carolina each year and try to stop at as many breweries as possible along the way. Rapid City is always on our route for one reason: Lost Cabin. The beers are consistently great, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. We especially enjoyed chatting with the women tending bar on the Sunday night we were there before Thanksgiving—they were a blast.
The first time we stopped here, my husband bought a t-shirt. During a recent move, I found out he actually owned two Lost Cabin shirts. When I asked if he realized he had duplicates, he said, “Of course—I need a backup for when I spill beer on the other one.”
This was our third visit, and once again we left with full hearts, full beer bellies, and thankfully… no more shirts.
Always the best, my favorite local pub 🍻
Delicious beer. Dog friendly. Beautiful views. I recommend 100%.
Yüng Jesse is a great bartender with knowledge about the beer that truly helped me learn more! I love every single one of the brews Cyril has crafted so lovingly. I tried every one of the beers and they’re so delicious! There’s a little of something for everyone. Dark, light, sour, and apparently also have Delta 9 drinks too. I didn’t try them but the bartender said they’re also popular. There is no food here but they have bags of chips and popcorn.
I highly recommend a flight if you enjoy trying different things. If you like darker beers, the Lord Grizzly (scotch ale), Chuckulator (doppelbock), and Buzzards roost (black IPA).
If you like light beers the BEER (lager), woodshop #17 Jasmine (Jasmine Tea Rice lager) and Cabana (dry hopped Mexican lager) are top picks for sure.
Sour, can’t go wrong with the electric taco truck and the Juithy Sour Milkshake IPA (sour IPA) are excellent! They’re the only brewery in the area with a true fodder and they know what they’re doing.
Please do yourself a favor and try this place out. New beer people, experienced ones, this is the place to go in Rapid City!
Thank you guys for your kindness and hospitality while here.
One of my favorite places to get a great beer! Great service and beer!
Large variety of craft beers.
Non alcoholic choices and D9 thc/CBD drink options. Free live music. Inside and outside seating. Dog friendly. I enjoyed myself.
We had an excellent experience at this place! We did a flight and enjoyed all of them, even with some very unique options. Stayed for a couple more... Dog friendly and the staff could not have been nicer. If you're looking for good beer in the area, this is the best option! Cheers!
Good beer in Rapid City. We’ll be back!
Lost Cabin Brewing is an awesome spot in Rapid City with a really cozy atmosphere that truly lives up to its name—feels like you're hanging out in a cabin in the woods. They’ve got a great beer selection, including some award-winning options on tap. Flights are a solid way to sample what they’ve got, and everything I tried was top-notch. The patio is a great hangout when the weather’s nice, but there’s also plenty of seating inside if you want to keep it cozy. Definitely a must-visit for beer lovers in the area.
Awesome experience. Great beer. Patient and kind bartender. Cool local patrons that didn’t complain about all the tasters me and my wife tried. Amazing local art. Cool outdoor seating. Right next to a Steady Ed designed historical disc golf course. Food trucks and hiking across the street. What more can you ask for 💪🏾

Great laid back place to enjoy craft beers and conversation.
Lost Cabin is a great place to get a drink and sit with friends while listening to live music.
Cool spot. Dog friendly. Easy parking. Good grapefruit IPA. Inside and outside seating. Order beer at the bar. Food truck was there on a Tuesday night. Nice bartender. Good vibes.
Great little brewery with some great beers on tap. We appreciated that they are dog friendly inside since it was pouring rain the day we passed through town.
Beers brewed by beer lovers not just for mass sales. Awesome hosts there were sharp and good servers. So glad the museum was closed so we had to find something else to do.
