Chuck Wagon Supper and Show is a great experience - good food and fun entertainment! Enjoy the Dances with Wolves Exhibit and stop in early enough to see the Ropes, Tin, Blacksmith - make some toilet paper sturdy rope, engrave a shingle or brick, and make your own tin plate. A must stop for the whole family --
the guy at the tin shop showed some really cool things and was very interactive with the kids and let them participate in his projects
We had a day filled with fun and excitement! Our driver, Gary, made the experience so fun and entertaining. Highly recommend this tour to see the top attractions at and around Mount Rushmore!
Ft. Hays and Mt. Rushmore Tours is the way to go! You start off with visiting buildings used on set and getting inside knowledge of the greatest movie ever, Dances With Wolves! They offer a chuckwagon breakfast before and a dinner after, but we did neither because our day was full. The tour is excellent. Knowledgeable drivers take you to Mt. Rushmore, through the Black Hills, Custer State Park, a stop for lunch, to Crazy Horse Memorial and back. I highly recommend you ask for your driver to be Bill Martin. What a guy! He is easy to talk to, full of knowledge, and his sense of humor (especially in the tight tunnel) makes this tour enjoyable. Bring cash, because you're going to want to tip your driver for the excellent job they do! Everything is prompt and ran like the first class outfit they are.
Fort Hays & Mount Rushmore Tours commences with a cowboy breakfast at the Old West town of Fort Hays, which boasts an Old West town, the home of the Dances with Wolves film set, and numerous historically accurate shops and buildings. Subsequently, we embarked on a day-long guided bus tour, encompassing sightseeing through Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, and Crazy Horse Memorial. Our knowledgeable and amiable guide ensured a pleasant experience, eliminating the need for driving and providing convenient drop-off and pick-up services at the entrance gates. I highly recommend this tour.
What a great experience from breakfast to tour, bus driver Dan was very knowledgeable plus an excellent driver
Finished tour with a chuck wagon dinner and entertainment show, where our bus driver Dan was pure entertaining.
My husband and I highly recommend this tour
This was worth every cent. Great value. 2 meals, a wonderful music show. Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and some of God's most beautiful country. Run by 2nd generation Christian family. Do not pass this one up. You won't be sorry.
Husband and I booked the all day bus tour after 3 days of Sturgis and Deadwood exploring/riding our motorcycles. We left this for our last day so we could take pictures and relax from riding our bikes the day before we departed on our 900+ ride back home to New Mexico. It was our favorite day of our SD/Sturgis trip! The breakfast was hot and relaxing with plenty of time to enjoy walking around the film set and taking pictures. Plus pics on a huge Buffalo there as the tour bus arrived. Gary, our tour driver was amazing! Funny, courteous, informative, interacting and oh so patient and offering to take everyone’s pics that cared for them at each site we stopped at pic worthy. Especially helpful as we had a few single riders, or like ourselves, it was nice to have pictures with both of us in it! Lunch was a delicious buffet with a yummy Buffalo stew and salad bar if you buy the lunch ticket with your tour. You may opt to buy lunch from the menu also. Stops were timely (especially great for us seniors or guests with small children) and well planned with gift shops, scenic backdrops and bathroom facilities. Gary even pulled over when we saw a wild Buffalo resting in the trees for us to take a quick picture of! It was high on my wish list to see one and felt very fortunate to see this one majestic creature resting. We didn’t even disturb him from his rest! My only suggestion is perhaps a bit longer stop at the Crazy Horse Museum only because there is so much to see and read. An hour flew by so quickly here. But we had a deadline to be back at the dinner and it was still a lovely day I would highly recommend!!! The other guests on bus were all so lovely and shared a bit of themselves thanks to Gary asking us. So it was fun and interactive plus spectacular sights filled with historic information thanks to Gary!
The ending of our dinner theater also was wonderful and had funny skits. These men were all so very talented both with their vocal abilities as well as their instruments! Please add this to your must do. You will not regret the experience!!!⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ?
We had the BEST tour with Mount Rushmore tours, everything was awesome, especially our tour guide/bus driver Pastor Bill Martin!!! He was so informative and had a great sense of humor! The all you can eat breakfast was sooo good, the lunch buffet was good as well, we were so exhausted when we got back that we didn’t attend the dinner show! This tour was worth every penny!!!! Thank you Bill for making this such a memorable experience!!!! ???
Highly recommend this family owned business ! The founder, Herman and his son and daughter in law and their bus drivers are so rich in history of this area !! Herman is 80 years old and still reports to His replica of Fort Hayes and will gladly give you a tour and lots of history while you are waiting to board your bus for a great tour ! It’s worth the money you will miss so much if you try to self guide yourself through this area.

We did the Mt Rushmore, Black Hills, Custer Park, Crazy Horse tour with breakfast and the Chuckwagon Dinner and show. The tour was terrific. All the sights were breathtaking and enough time at each stop. Dan, our driver, was great, very knowledgeable, easy going and a good sense of humor. When driving thru the last very tight tunnel he put a “Student Driver” sign in the bus window for the unsuspecting folks on the other end to see. The food at breakfast and dinner very good and the singers following dinner were talented and funny. The only negatives were we didn’t see any Buffalo and the young boy serving pancakes and sausages at breakfast was miserable and obviously didn’t want to be there. Our bus was laughing about how unhappy he looked once we got on the bus and started the tour. Regardless, the overall experience was great.
About 7 years ago I started thinking about going to visit Mt Rushmore..living on the East Coast, the more I looked at it, the more difficult it seemed. I had spotted this tour then and bookmarked it. This year I finally booked it and I'm very glad I did. I booked the all day tour, starting with the chuckwagon breakfast, Mt Rushmore, needles hwy, Custer state Park, crazy horse and Sylvan lake. Before returning in time for the chuckwagon dinner and show. When I booked it, I made a mistake (all on me) and reached out to them, not only did they respond, they took care of it and even saved me some money! The day of my tour I met the lady who I had spoken to and she introduced me to our driver, Pastor Bill (I think). He was a hoot! Kept us well informed,.on a schedule and threaded us through the eye of the needle like a seasoned pro! If you want to see everything and not have to watch the road but look at the scenery..this is the way to go! Everything was top notch and ran like a well oiled machine!
Had a great meal followed by an awesome music performance. Would definitely recommend. If ever in SD again we will be back! Amazing story, amazing service and an amazing end to our trip. Thank you!
Fabulous sightseeing tour. Plenty of time spent at each stop. Entertaining and informative driver.
The big bonus is ending the trip with a chuck wagon meal which was excellent all the way around. The food was delicious and the way they got so many people fed quickly and efficiently was impressive.
Loved the music show after the meal. Super musicians. Great entertainment. An A-plus day from start to finish.
Excellent tour. Being able to just ride and see all the fantastic views and wildlife without having to worry about traffic or directions is priceless. Our guide, Bill, was knowledgeable about the area and sites as well as very entertaining. No regrets in booking this tour whatsoever.
