Delicious breakfast!! We had the 2 eggs/meat/hash browns/toast/coffee which was absolutely delicious!! Our server was attentive, informative and kind. It’s a small cafe which may be a challenge to find, but it’s well worth the effort. We eat there at least one time when we are in the Black Hills.

Stopped here for breakfast - we each had the two egg, hash brown, toast breakfast. I had bacon and hubby had sausage patties. Over easy eggs were perfectly cooked. Breakfast was delish and came out quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive. There’s no wonder their rating is so high - fantastic!

Great little mom and pop hole in the wall. The biscuits and gravy are amazing. Adorable, great service, very welcoming. The portions are great for the prices. Definitely give this place a try.

Great Food, friendly waitresses and all around great place to eat! Definitely would recommend! We are from North Carolina and it was just like going into a local place back home!

You will get nothing short of a grand, hard working American, tasty and delightful experience at Ron’s Cafe. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Rapid City! Lorna is the current owner and waitress of this establishment. She is is a picture of true America. Her customer service is second to none ensuring your coffee cup is always full. If you’re a regular, she’ll call you by name. The atmosphere is enough to inspire Norman Rockwell himself. They have old relics on the wall beside pictures that depict a western feel. If you want a picture of a small town cafe in the second largest city in SoDak, Ron’s is the place. The food is excellent! Come hungry, as their portions are big. The lunch specials come with a slice of dessert, soup or salad and they serve breakfast anytime. If you want support a great local restaurant make Ron’s a must stop. There’s a reason people are waiting to be seated. Ron’s plate is worth the wait.

Wow! What a place! Definitely worth a stop or two or three!! Food and service was outstanding! The outside looks like a car garage and you just might drive right on by looking for the place. Parking is in back or on the side. A couple spots in front but that's in case you missed the back and side like I did. Or if you know where to go they could be your first choice. Interior is a blast from the past...the 50s diner past. Memorabilia from past menus to historical photos to LPs and hub caps of cars long ago. Small diner with great food. You must not pass this up!

Clean, friendly, tasty and great wait service. Local diner and nice selection of offerings. Eclectic old time trinkets to make you smile as travel back on past memories.

Great food, we really enjoyed our breakfast! Service was great! My husband had the hash with eggs, I had the ham with eggs our friends had the same! We really enjoyed it! Thank you for being so welcoming to out of Townes's!

My Mom and I visited Rapid City for a week of sightseeing in the area in June of 2022. We mostly made breakfast at the rental we stayed at, but on the last day were looking for a local breakfast place before driving home. Ron's was Perfect! The people (staff and regulars) were so friendly, and the food was reasonably priced and so delicious. This is truly a hidden gem in Rapid City. I had the homemade corned beef hash and eggs with marble rye toast, and my plate was nearly dishwasher-clean when I finished. Yummmm! I never reached the bottom of my coffee cup before someone asked if I would like more. Mom had eggs, sausage with raisin toast and said that if we had discovered Ron's when we arrived, we would have skipped making breakfast at the cabin! Awesome establishment!

I am not sure why this restaurant get's such good reviews, average at best. In my opinion the coffee was not drinkable and my BLT sandwich had two pieces of old bacon on it. When I placed my sandwich order I was assured by our nice waitress that the bacon was going to be fresh and cooked to order, it was neither. I don't recommend this restaurant and I am giving it two stars because the waitress was very good or else maybe one star.

This is the spot you only tell your best friends about cuz it's so good you don't want it to be overcrowded. Best corned beef I've had in 2 years and the breakfast burrito was pretty freaking amazing. I would wait tens of minutes to have breakfast in this spot

Found information about it on Trip Advisor, decided we would try them for breakfast. Had about a 20 min wait, but it is a small restaurant and was well worth the wait. I had 2 eggs, cooked perfectly, pancake (it was the size of the plate plus some) and 4 strips of bacon (only expected 2!). Very good, pancake was light. Couldn't finish it. Husband had the Mexican omelet: seasoned taco meat (said it didn't seem very seasoned to him), salsa on top. Said it was good, decent sized. Came with hash browns, toast. Staff was pleasant. Other patrons were very friendly! A definitely local place which is what we like!
